The first two digits of the serial number stand for the
year of manufacture of the product.

Correct use

The T4000 series coded electronic safety switches
are only allowed to be used in the context of section
2.2 "Applications of the safety switches". The safety
switches are only allowed to be installed by quali-
fied safety personnel and are only allowed to be
used on the machine on which they have been in-
stalled and initialised by qualified safety personnel
as per these operating instructions.
All warranty claims against SICK AG are forfeited in
the case of any other use, or alterations being made
to devices, even as part of their mounting or instal-
lation.
2.4 General safety notes and
protective measures
Safety switches provide personnel safety functions.
Incorrect installation or manipulation can result in
serious injuries.
