• Anyone tasked on behalf of the user with commissioning, operation, maintenance or repair must have read and understood the operating in-
structions and in particular the chapter on safety.
• The company using the unit is recommended to draw up in-house instructions taking account of the respective operator's known technical
qualifications and to have the compliance with the instructions and operating instructions or participation in a training session confirmed in
writing.
• The unit must only be operated, maintained and repaired by trained and authorised personnel.
• The responsibilities for the various activities that arise during the course of the operation and repair or maintenance of the unit must be clearly

2.2 General information regarding safety and warning instructions
Danger!
Imminent danger which leads to serious physical injury or death.
• Only open the control unit and carry out maintenance work on the entire machine when the mains plug is disconnected!
• Work on the control unit, sensor board, motor and electrical cables may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• In the event of a fault, the mains plug must be disconnected first. The fault must be eliminated only by authorised personnel.
• The unit must be operated from a 230 V socket outlet with a protective earth contact. This must be fused with a B16 A circuit breaker (LS). In
addition, a separate 30 mA residual current circuit breaker (FI) must be provided. A combined FI/LS switch with corresponding tripping charac-
teristics is possible.
• The residual current circuit breaker should only supply the circuits intended for this unit
• The mains plug may only be connected to the socket when the machine has been fully assembled and fixed to the wall.
• Do not use extension cables to connect the unit.
• Before commissioning, the unit must be conductively connected to the pen installation's potential equalisation system.
• Check the function of the residual current circuit breaker regularly with the function key.
• Keep away from the machine during operation and when the mains plug is not pulled out!
• The unit must always be secured against falling or toppling over while being installed – risk of fatal injury!
• Place a retaining strap through the joint piece and secure it with a lifting device!
• Do not mount the drive and brush unit until the suspension arm is securely mounted.
• Never reach behind the protective panels while working. Risk of injury!
• Do not enter the machine's working area until the mains plug has been disconnected.
• People with loose clothing or uncovered long hair must not approach the unit. Risk of injury!
• Never touch or try to stop the rotating brushes.
