5.2. Dismantling Davitrac™
While installing and working with the Davitrac™ the operators must follow ANSI standards to
prevent falls during the set-up, tear-down and use of the equipment.
To take Davitrac™ off its base, remove the brackets and systems installed on Davitrac™
Depending on the base (page 5 - fig. 3d), remove the mast rotation locking rod (P) (see page 5
- fig. 3.c).
•
Remove the locking pin from the hole at the end of the boom articulation rod (L)
•
Remove the boom articulation locking rod (L) location (W) (See page 5 fig. 3.b) and unlock the
strut (C) to fold the davitrac boom (D)
•
Lock the boom transport locking system onto the mast (M)
•
Take davitrac off its base
Davitrac™ is now folded up and ready for transport (see page 5 - fig. 3.c).
5.3. Installing a bracket on the Davitrac™ mast
The Davitrac™ mast may be equipped with a variety of systems with a Tractel® Davitrac™
®
bracket for Blocfor
R - Work winch - Scafor
The following operations require the double pulley head
When only one system is installed, it must be installed at the rear of the mast:

A Scafor
or winch hoist is placed in the high position (see page 5 - fig. 4.a)
•
®
The Blocfor
R fall arrest device is in the low position (see page 5 - fig. 4.b)
When several systems are installed, they must be installed as follows:

A Scafor
or work winch is placed in the high position at the rear of the mast (see page 5 - fig.
4.c)
•
®
The Blocfor
R fall arrest device is in the low position at the front of the mast (see page 5 - fig.
4.c)
No other configuration is permitted.
Once Davitrac™ is in place and unfolded.
Install the bracket on the Davitrac™ mast (see page 6 & 7 - fig. 5). Each bracket has a

positioning rod that prevents the chosen system from being set up incorrectly. Each bracket
must necessarily be fixed with the two rods connected to the bracket.
Note: It is strictly forbidden to modify the anchoring bracket supplied with the system in any
way.

On the mast, choose the holes that correspond to the holes on the bracket and fix it with the
rods (see page 6 & 7 - fig. 5).

Lock the bracket with the rods and locking pins fastened to the bracket (see page 6 & 7 - fig.
5).
For each device with a bracket, the cable must be routed over the appropriate transfer pulley on
the double pulley head of the Davitrac™ (see page 4 - fig. 2 – A1 – F & G).
