The Davitrac™ jib crane may only be rotated by 180° if the load is below 330lb. (150 kg) (fig.
8b), by temporarily removing the mast rotation locking rod (P, fig. 2, page 4). Put back the mast
rotation locking rod after completing the operation (fig 8b, page 9).

The angle of the load lifting cable from the upright position should not exceed 1° for loads
between 330lb. and 1100lb. (150 kg and 500 kg). (See fig. 9a, page 9)

The angle of the load lifting cable from the upright position should not exceed 15° for loads
under 330lb. (150 kg) (fig. 9b, page 9).

4.5.1. PPE and rescue

Davitrac™ is designed to receive brackets equipped for rescue lifting devices and fall protection
systems that comply with the requirements of ANSI Z359.18-2017 and CSA Z259.15-17.
No other assembly is permitted without the written approval of Tractel®
Davitrac™ may be fitted with PPE fall arrest device, rescue lifting devices and descender devices
that comply with the requirements of ANSI Z359.18-2017 and CSA Z259.15-17

4.5.2. Lifting

The single anchor point head for material lifting for Davitrac™ has a maximum safe working load of
1100lb. (500kg) (SWL).

Davitrac™ with its double pulleys head may be fitted with winch on brackets:
o
work winch SWL max. 880lb. (400 kg)

Davitrac™ with its material anchor point head may be fitted with hoists at the head of the boom:
o
with feed-through wire rope, type Minifor®, SWL max. 1100lb. (500 kg)
o
with chain, type Tralift
No other assembly is permitted without the written approval of Tractel®
The stated loads are the maximum values applicable, which must not in any event be multiplied
by the number or anchor points located on the head or mast of Davitrac™.
Davitrac™ is not designed and intended for platform suspension application.
Davitrac™ is installed on special bases manufactured by Tractel.

4.6. Description of systems compatible with Davitrac™

Before using the Davitrac™, it is essential that the supervisor and operator read and reviewed,
and understood the operating manuals of Davitrac™ and each associated accessory in the
manuals provided by Tractel®. To ensure safe and effective use of the equipment of the
Davitrac™ and related accessories. All manuals related to the equipment being used must be
made available at all times to all operators.

4.6.1. Blocfor R fall arrest device
It is supplied with its bracket and instructions, and is fastened to the Davitrac™ mast. Blocfor
a self- retracting fall arrest device with a rescue lifting system. it can secure 1 operator with a
maximum weight of 310lbs (140kg).
In the event of a fall, the operator is stopped by a safety ratchet mechanism. Blocfor
equipped with a manual hoist to allow the rescuer to raise or lower the fallen operator.
