17. Maintenance and cleaning
Servicing or repair must only be carried out by a specialist or specialist workshop. The product
contains no parts that require servicing by you, except for the battery. Therefore, never open it
(except for the procedures described in these operating instructions for insertion/replacing the
batteries).
A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning the outside.
☞
Do not put too much pressure on the display; this can cause scratch marks or failures
of the display.
Clean the contracts and the chest strap regularly using a cloth slightly moistened with
lukewarm water; dry the chest strap carefully.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents, alcohol or other chemical solutions that
would damage the casing (discolouration).
18. Water and shock resistance
For normal use the wristwatch is shockproof. However, it should not be subjected to extreme
shocks, like those that occur, for example, from a fall onto a hard floor. The clock mechanism
can be damaged as a result.
The designation 3 ATM (or 30 m) means that the watch is safe when washing the hands or the
car, and is protected against water splashing and sweat.
It does not mean it is a diving watch that is water resistant to 30 m depth.
Do not press the buttons of the watch when the watch is wet.
