Safety
1.1.1
General safety instructions CMMO-ST
• Under all circumstances, also observe the general safety regulations for CMMO-ST in the description
GDCP-CMMO-ST-...
Caution
High temperatures on the housing surface
Housing surfaces can reach high temperatures. Contact with the surface may result in
shock and uncontrolled reactions with subsequent damages.
• Be certain that no accidental contact is possible and inform your maintenance staff
of any potential hazards.
Caution
Personal and material damage due to unexpected movements
• Switch off the power supplies prior to any assembly, installation or maintenance
work and secure them against inadvertent restart.
1.1.2
General safety instructions STO
Caution
Loss of the safety function
Non-observance of the environmental and connection conditions may lead to loss of
safety functions.
• Be sure to observe the specified environmental and connection conditions, and
especially the input voltage tolerances
Note
Material damage due to unexpected movements
Failure of the motor controller output phase during STO status (simultaneous short
circuit of 2 power semiconductors in different phases) may result in a limited detent
movement of the rotor. The rotation angle / travel correspond to the pole pitch of the
applicable motor.
