Adjusting the planting unit load
The adjustment unit is usually mounted in position
(A1).
With the unit (A) in position (A1) the weight on the pack-
ing wheels can be reduced.
With the unit (A) in position (A1) the weight on the pack-
ing wheels can be increased.

Proceed as outlined below.
1) As regards the position of the adjustment unit (A),
turn the handwheel (C) and the handwheel (D) to ap-
Adjusting the packing wheel scraper
The scraper is used to clean the packing wheels, remov-
ing any soil and debris that has built up.
Proceed as outlined below.
1) Loosen the screw (A).
2) Turn the scraper (C) until it reaches the desired posi-
tion.
3) Tighten the screw (A).
4) Loosen the nut (B).
5) Position the blade (D) so that it is just touching the
packing wheel.
6) Tighten the nut (B).
7) Repeat the same procedure for the other scraper.
Carry out the same operations to adjust the scrapers of
the other planting units installed.

The unit (B) enables to increase or decrease the weight
applied by the unit (A) to the packing wheels.
The weight (load) to be applied to the packing wheels
is obtained by the combined action of the adjustment
units (A) and (B).
