––– STEP 5 –––
IMPORTANT!
- The following assembly steps illustrate installation of the RIVA200
gearmotor.
- For correct system operation it is necessary to supply mechanical
stops, on the ground, positioned at the maximum Opening and Clos-
ing points of the door. Note - These end stops are not included in the
kit and do not form part of the Nice Home product range.
WARNINGS
• Incorrect installation may cause serious physical injury to those
working on or using the system.
• Before starting automation assembly, carry out the preliminary
checks as described in STEP 3.
5.1 - RIVA200 GEARMOTOR INSTALLATION
RIVA200 is an electromechanical gearmotor made up of a reducer with
helical gears and 24V DC motor; it is equipped with mechanical release
with a key that allows you to manually move the gate in case of a power
failure.
5.1.1 - Underground gearmotor positioning
01. Excavate the foundations to a generous size, to accommodate the
foundation case (fig. 5): provide a discharge pipe for water drainage
to prevent stagnation;
02. Fetch the duct for routing the electric cable (fig. 5);
03. Separate the motor from the foundation case;
04. Place the foundation case inside the trench, with the hole aligned to
the axis of the upper hinge (fig. 6);
05. Provide a conduit for the passage of the power cord and one for
water drainage;
06. Submerge the foundation case in concrete, taking care to ensure that
it is perfectly level (fig. 7).;
07. At this point, on the bottom of the leaf, drill three M10 threaded holes
with a minimum depth of 15 mm (fig. 8). Note – As an alternative to
screws, it is possible to fix the attachment lever for the leaf with a
robust weld;
08. Affix the attachment lever for the leaf using 3 screws (fig. 8);
09. IMPORTANT! – Lubricate the foundation case bush (fig. 9);
10. Insert, into the foundation case bush, the attachment lever already
fixed to the leaf (fig. 10); VERY IMPORTANT check that the leaf is
firmly attached to the column/wall hinges, in such a way that IT CAN-
NOT BE LIFTED (fig. 11). This is to ensure correct contact with the
gears of the motor shaft;
11. If the gate has its own mechanical stops (fig. 3 - f) go directly to step
12. Otherwise, if the gate is not equipped with its own mechanical
stops or if you do not want it to stop, the full motor thrust is applied
to the leaf, and you can use the stops inside the gearmotor and pro-
ceed as follows:
a) Insert the adjustment grub screws (for the opening or closing end
stops) in the holes provided on the foundation case support:
- Gate opening to 90°: see fig. 12 for the left leaf and for the right
leaf.
- Gate opening to 180°: see fig. 13.
b) End stop adjustment (opening and closing): tighten the end
stop until the desired stop point is reached, for opening and closing;
finally, add the nuts and, if the end stop positions are correct, tighten
the nuts very tightly (fig. 14);
12. At this point, insert the motor into the foundation case by pushing it
to the end of the case and in such a way as to match the mounting
holes present on the geared motor with those on the case (fig. 15);
13. Insert the fixing screws supplied into the holes (fig. 16) and tighten
them slowly until the gearmotor is slightly raised above the bottom of
the case;
14. Then, slowly move the leaf to allow connection with the motor, and
then fully tighten the fixing screws (fig. 17);
15. Route the power cable through the raceway provided previously
(fig. 18): to carry out the electrical connection to the control unit see
Chapter 4 and refer to the manual for the control unit itself;
16. Position the three covers "A, B, C", respecting the following order:
a) Rest upper cover "A" on the foundation case and slide it until it
stops (fig. 19 - 1), at the same time, insert cover "B" into the slot (fig.
19 - 2)

INSTALLATION: COMPONENT ASSEMBLY AND CONNECTION
b) Affix cover "A" with the screws supplied (fig. 19 - 3)
c) Affix lower cover "C" using the screws supplied (fig. 19 - 4 e 5).
