The hydraulic systems provided come equipped with one-way fl ow
regulators (Fig. 65) which allow for the regulation of the quantity
of oil during opening or closing, depending on how the regulators
have been installed:
Flow from B to C, free (Fig. 65);
Flow from C to B, choked (regulated) (Fig. 65).
o regulate, loosen the lock nut (1) and turn the knob (2). Once this
adjustment has been made, re-tighten the lock nut.
Make sure that the result of this adjustment does not cause the
rising or descent speed to damage the structure itself. Never
exceed the maximum admissible pressure for the hydraulic
system.
4.7.1 ROW MARKER ARM ADJUSTMENT
See Fig. 62 and observe the following rules for correct row market
arm adjustment:
L = D (N +1)
where:
L= the distance between the outer-most element and the row
marker
D= the distance between the rows
N= the number of elements working
Example: D= 12,5 cm (inch. 5); N= 24 elements.
L=12,5 (24+1)=156 cm
For normal soils the correct working position of the disc is
that shown in Fig. 66 ref. E; for strong soils turn it over as
shown in ref. F- Fig. 66.
The row marker arms have a safety bolt (G, Fig. 67) so that the
planter unit structure will not be damaged. If they happen to bump
into an obstacle, this bolt will break and so the row marker arm will
rotate to leave the equipment structure intact. Replace the safety
bolt with the bolt supplied (H, Fig. 63.
