Connection
Disconnect the mixer and all other devices to be connected to it from the mains supply (pull the
power plugs) before connecting the devices to each other.
Only use properly shielded cables with suitable connectors to connect the inputs and outputs.
Using the wrong cables can cause interferences.
To avoid distortion or mismatches that could damage the mixer, only devices equipped with
suitable inputs and outputs of the same connection type may be connected to the inputs and
outputs of the mixer.
Also observe the values stated in the "Specifications".
The following applies to all RCA connections:
•
The white RCA socket on the mixer is the connection for the left channel.
•
The red RCA socket on the mixer is the connection for the right channel.
a) Connecting the inputs
INPUT LINE CH1 to CH4 (47)
The mixer is equipped with eight RCA stereo inputs (LINE 1 to LINE8) for the connection of your playback devices.
Connections LINE1 and LINE3 can be set for the connection of record players which will provide PHONO1 and
PHONO2. This is done using the INPUT SELECT switches (48).
The LINE inputs are only suitable for devices with a LINE level (e.g. CD players, tape decks).
The PHONO inputs are only suitable for record players.
MICROPHONE1 (3) and MIC2 (49) sockets
You can connect your microphones to these inputs. The connections are suitable for dynamic microphones or
condenser microphones with their own power supply. MICROPHONE1 (3) is intended for a microphone with a TRS
or an XLR plug while MIC2 (49) is intended for a microphone with a TRS plug.
These inputs are not suitable for line-level audio devices or record players.
