First, after undoing the locking screw,
Item 3, screw the pressure piece, Item 2, of
the coupler out of the coupler sleeve, Item 1,
and pull the insert parts, Items 4-6, 18+19,
out of the coupler sleeve backwards.

After having removed ca. 30 mm of
the cable sheath, (see also page 16), thread
the connection cable through the pressure
piece, Item 2, the strain relief, Item 4, the seal,
Item 5, and the thrust washer (screen clamp),
Item 6.

Then feed the individual wires through
the marked wire guides of the splicing ring,
Item 19, and the ends cut off flush at the front
of the ring, Item 19.

To assemble, press the splicing ring,
Item 19, in the correct position into the
QUICKON® insert, Item 18, (in the coupler
sleeve, Item 17), with normal manual strength
and push the insert parts (thrust washer,
seal, strain relief) into the coupler sleeve.

Warning: When assembling the coupler,
ensure that the key of the QUICKON®
insert is positioned correctly in relation to
the keyway of the splicing ring.
5.
Now screw the pressure piece, Item
2, back onto the coupler sleeve, Item 1, until
the seal and strain-relief become effective
(see Technical Data for test torque) and
secure with locking screw, Item 3.
When the pressure piece is screwed tight,
correct contact between the contact sockets
and the connection cable is made at the
QUICKON® connection.
Proceed in the reverse order to disconnect
(see also Fig. 6, A-G).
