Start-Up Instructions
The heater includes a selector switch that allows the
grower to operate the equipment in HEAT
VENT
. See Fig. 7.
IMPORTANT: When changing HEAT/VENT switch po-
sitions from one function to the other, DO NOT quickly
reposition the selector switch. Position the switch to
OFF and then select the switch function you want.
Heating
1. Ensure the heater is properly connected to the
electrical supply.
2. Open the fuel supply valve to the heater's gas inlet.
3. Set the fuel selector valve to the fuel being used at
the jobsite. (the heater is shipped from the factory
with the valve in the LP gas position).
4. Position the selector switch to HEAT
5. Set the heater's thermostat to a setting above room
temperature.
6. The heater will start.
ATTENTION:
The ignition control will attempt three ignition trials. If
ignition is not achieved after the third trial, the heater
will shut down. Refer to the troubleshooting section in
this manual or scan the QR code on the heater.
Shut-Down Instructions
If the heater is to be shut down for cleaning, main-
tenance, or repair, follow steps 1-5. For normal shut
down, set the thermostat to a lower setting.
1. Close the fuel supply valve at the fuel source.
2. Allow the heater to burn off any gas remining in its
gas supply line.
3. Position the selector switch to OFF
4. Set the thermostat to its lowest setting.
5. Disconnect the heater from its gas and electrical
supplies.
Ventilation
With the VENT
position engaged, only the
fan motor will operate. The heater will not spark nor
ignite. This position is used for air circulation only. To
discontinue the ventilation feature, position the switch
to OFF or HEAT.
