Remote Oil Hook-Up
• The Foreman 230/500 will require kit
500-131261 to be installed for connection to
a remote tank.
• The Foreman 750 will ship ready for
connection to a remote fuel tank. See instructions be-
low.

Materials
• Teflon tape (use on all threaded connections)
• Appropriate pipe fittings to adapt to the 3/8 in. NPT female
threads on the 3/8 in. black iron tee.
Tools
• 5/16 Allen wrench
• Adjustable wrench
Connection to a remote fuel tank
• Close the fuel shut off valve from the on board fuel tank.
• Remove the Allen head plug from the 3/8 in. tee.
• Use the appropriate pipe fittings to reduce the remote hose
fitting to 3/8 in. NPT threads.
• Install the remote hose fitting to the 3/8 in. tee.
• Check ALL connections for tightness.
• Start the heater and check all connections for leaks.
Retighten as necessary to stop any fuel leaks.
Using the onboard fuel tank
• All Foreman Oil heaters are shipped ready to operate from
the onboard tank.

Start-Up Instructions

For initial start-up after heater installation, follow steps
1-5. For normal start-up, set the thermostat above room
temperature or set thermostat selector switch to the
manual position.
