3.4. Connection of the instruments

3.4.1. Treated instruments

iCare+ is a device whose function is to ensure the cleaning and disinfection of dental rotary and dynamic
instruments.
iCare+ device allows the cleaning and disinfection of internal and external surfaces of different instruments. The
main instruments intended to be treated are usual handpieces: contra-angles and turbines.
The different types of instruments that can be treated by iCare+ device are listed in the table 1 (please refer to the
chapter 3.5.5. Selecting the type of instrument).

3.4.2. Installation of the instruments

With iCare+ device, it is possible to connect 2 kinds of instruments by means of 2 different connectors:

Air turbine connector for turbines for dental.

E-type connector for contra-angles for dental.
To connect a turbine with Midwest 4 holes(in accordance with the ISO 9168 standard) , start opening the door and
connect the turbine directly to turbine connector of the iCare+ (see Figure 14) and screw the ring on tightly (see
Figure 15). Finish this operation by closing the door. Take care of the position of the turbine connector.
