To start the engine with LSC:
1. Open the control panel door (A, Figure 18).
2. Switch the LSC On / Off switch (B, Figure 18) to the 'On'
position.
3. To manually start the engine *:
• Press the button below the 'Start' indicator on the
high resolution LCD panel (A, Figure 19). This
indicator will immediately change to 'Stop'.
• An alarm will sound for about 5 seconds to warn that
the engine is about to start.
• The glow plug indicator will be visible on the LCD to
indicate that the glow plug is on (B, Figure 19).
• After the glow plug has warmed the intake, the
engine will begin to crank.
• If the engine does not start, the LSC will attempt the
start the engine twice more. If the engine does not
start after three trys, a "failed start" error code will
appear (C, Figure 19).
4. After the engine has started, the lights will turn on
automatically after about 20 seconds. All light circuit
breakers need to be in the 'On' position.
With the LSC switch in the 'On' position, and prior to
starting the engine, the 'Low Oil Pressure" warning will
appear. This is normal. The 'Low Oil Pressure" warning
should go out within 5 seconds of engine start up. If
the Automatic Engine Shutdown System detects low oil
pressure after the engine has started and stabilized, it will
shut down the engine automatically.
The fuel symbol on the LCD panel will begin to flash red
when low fuel level is detected. The machine is factory
set for a low fuel level of ½ full. This can be re-set by the
user. See separate LSC Display Module Instruction
Manual for re-setting instructions.
To shut down the engine with LSC:
1. 1. Press the button below 'Stop' on high resolution LCD
panel (A, Figure 19 ('Start' shown)). This indicator will
immediately change to 'Start'.
20
Once the 'Stop' button has been pressed, the lights will be
automatically sequenced off two at a time. Once all the lights
are off, the engine will shut down.
* For automatic starting and programmed starting with
the LSC, and for complete information on all of the user
programmable items within the LSC, see separate LSC
Display Module Instruction Manual.

Using The Block Heater
The light tower trailer can be equipped with an optional
electric, frost plug style block heater. The block heater is 120
volts AC, 60Hz, 3.3 amp. Use a grounded (3 prong) extension
cord to connect the block heater to an appropriate electric
power source.
For the Kubota and Perkins engine, the block heater is
located on the right side when viewed from the fan side.
For the Mitusbishi engine, the block heater is located on
the left side when viewed from the fan side, in the core plug
nearest the bell housing.
