12. Function menu
The EXR-46 OR's Function mode contains more advanced settings you may not need every day. They allow you to fine-tune your instrument's response. It would therefore be a good idea to familiarize yourself
with these parameters. Most settings ("*") can be written to a User Program (see p. 45). Other parameters ("°") are saved to the Flash memory when you leave the Function mode.
Editing parameters (general
procedure)
You can edit the EXR-46 OR's Function parameters via the dis-
play. Here is a general outline of the procedure for all parame-
ters discussed below:
(1) Press [FUNCTION].

tains the desired parameter:

(3) Use SELECT [√][®] to select the parameter you wish to edit
(see below).

Note: In FUNCTION mode, SELECT [√][®] do not allow you to
jump from one family to the next.
The "VALUE" message and a setting appear to signal that you
can change ("edit") the selected parameter.
(4) Use the DATA ENTRY [–][+] or numeric buttons (only for
values) to modify the setting of the selected parameter.

Note: To return to the default value of the currently selected
parameter, press [+] and [–] simultaneously.
(5) Use FAMILY [√][®] to select another Function parameter.
(6) Continue with step (3).
(7) Press another "big" button in the DATA ENTRY section to
leave this function.
KB SET parameters
I Kbd Touch*
(1~127, Default setting: 110) Use this parameter to set the
EXR-46 OR's fixed velocity value that will be used when the
icon is not displayed. See p. 34.
KEY TOUCH
Note: This parameter can also be selected by pressing and holding
[KEYBOARD¥TOUCH].
I MstrTune° (Master Tune)
(427.4~452.6, Default setting: 440.0) This parameter allows you
to change the EXR-46 OR's overall tuning, which may be nec-
essary when you accompany a singer, an acoustic instrument,
or when you play to a recording on CD or cassette.
I USRTrnsp*
(–12~12, Default setting: 0) Use this parameter to transpose
the EXR-46 OR in semitones. If you're not sure what transposi-
tion is, see p. 32. This parameter can also be selected by press-
ing the [TRANSPOSE] button.
I GLBTrnsp
(–6~5, Default setting: 0) Use this parameter to temporarily
transpose the EXR-46 OR in semitones. If you're not sure what
transposition is, see (see p. 33). This parameter can also be
selected by pressing the [TRANSPOSE] button and pressing
SELECT [®] once.
