3. Key features and benefits
Capacity:
3L
PF = Working Pressure = 60 kPa
PS = Maximum allowable pressure = 120 kPa
This revolutionary Micro Pressure Cooker is Tupperware's
response to a growing demand for easy cooking solutions. The
Micro Pressure Cooker is a covered container that builds up
pressure during cooking in the microwave, allowing temperatures
to rise above 100°C.
This ingeniously designed pressure cooker combines traditional
pressure cooking methods with today's efficient microwave
cooking; ensuring even heat distribution, improved food color
retention, and fast cooking times. By combining both technologies
you get a simple way to cook; it is not necessary to stir the contents
during cooking.
4. How to use your Micro Pressure Cooker?
4.1 Check-up at first use
• Before first use, check that all parts mentioned in section
"2. Micro Pressure Cooker parts description" are included.
• Hand-wash your Micro Pressure Cooker in hot, soapy water;
then rinse and dry. Read the manual thoroughly.
4.2 Check-up on daily use
• Check the condition, cleanliness and assembly of all
components:
• Remove the silicone cover gasket to check its cleanliness.
A gasket in poor condition or with foreign bodies under it may
cause leaks (if the gasket is damaged, please purchase a new
set including gasket and valves and replace them all).
• Replace the symmetrical shaped silicone cover gasket in
its position, checking that it is correctly installed and that
it is properly engaged underneath the rim of the cover
(see fig C).
• Check that there is nothing blocking the openings of the
pressure regulator valve and pressure indicator valve with
pressure indicator (see section "2. Micro Pressure Cooker
parts description" fig. A 5, 6 and 7). Check if these safety
devices are correctly positioned (see fig. K) and not damaged
(if they are damaged, purchase a new set including the gasket
and replace them all at once).
• Unlock the safety lock handle by lifting the tab at the end of the
handle until the handle stands up vertically (see fig. E). When
at 90° it can be removed from the cover. Check the presence
of the safety lock plug (see section "2. Micro Pressure
Cooker parts description" fig. A 4) and if the opening is
clean.
• To assemble (see fig D), position the safety lock handle at 90°,
place it over the hinges of the cover and press it down. Push
down the safety lock handle, until you hear a click, to lock.
• If any of the components is damaged, do not use your Micro
Pressure Cooker and do not try to repair it yourself. Please
contact your Tupperware Demonstrator to purchase and
replace the damaged components.
Usable capacity:
2L
4.3 How to open your Micro Pressure Cooker?
• Lift the safety lock handle by its tab (at the end of the handle)
until you hear a click (see fig E).
• Turn the cover in counter clockwise direction, until the arrows on
the cover and base are aligned (see fig F). Lift off the cover.
!NOTE: To turn and remove the cover, you can either hold the
cover by its side handles or by its central handle. Never use the
safety lock handle to turn the cover as it may lead to breakage.
4.4 How to prepare?
• For quick and even cooking, cut meat and vegetables in pieces
of small, equal size.
• Prick all foods that have a skin, like tomatoes, squash, jacket
potatoes and score whole fish or chicken breast to allow
excess steam to escape and to prevent bursting due to built up
pressure inside.
• Place the ingredients in the Micro Pressure Cooker, including
the right amount of liquid, as indicated in the section "7. Main
cooking times". Make sure that the food is completely
submerged in the liquid.
• The amount of liquid that is added for cooking in the Micro
Pressure Cooker is important. No or insufficient liquid in the
Micro Pressure Cooker can cause overheating and will cause
serious damage to the product.
• Always respect the ratio: minimum of 150ml liquid per
10 minutes of cooking time.
• Always fill the Micro Pressure Cooker at least up to 400ml,
indicated by the minimum (MIN) filling line.
• Never exceed 2/3 of the capacity of the Micro Pressure Cooker
when filling. Always fill the Micro Pressure Cooker maximum up
to 2L, indicated by the maximum (MAX) filling line.
• In the case of foods which produce froth or inflate during cooking
(rice, dehydrated vegetables, etc.), never fill the Micro Pressure
Cooker to more than half of its capacity.
• Overfilling the Micro Pressure Cooker may obstruct the safety
devices and cause excessive pressure in the Micro Pressure
Cooker.
!NOTE: Do not use the micro pressure cooker for frying, making
caramel, popcorn or boiling eggs.
!NOTE: Do not cook foods, such as cranberries, pearl barley,
oatmeal or other cereals, split peas, noodles, macaroni, rhubarb
or spaghetti. These foods tend to foam, froth, spatter and clog the
pressure release devices. These foods should not be cooked in
the Micro Pressure Cooker.
!NOTE: Do not use the Micro Pressure Cooker with any other
containers inside.
!NOTE: Do not use for medical purposes, such as sterilizer.
!NOTE: Never use the grill or heating functions of your
combi-microwave oven.
!NOTE: Always refer to the instruction booklet of your microwave
manufacturer for appropriate product usage.
!NOTE: Never leave the microwave unattended during use.
4.5 How to close your Micro Pressure Cooker?
• Always ensure the Micro Pressure Cooker is properly closed
before placing in the microwave. If not well closed, the Micro
Pressure Cooker will not build pressure.
