TOOLS AND RESOURCES REQUIRED:
• #1 Phillips Screwdriver
• #2 Phillips Screwdriver
NOTE: If the trolling motor is currently mounted on a boat, the boat should be stabilized to avoid unexpected movement.
CAUTION: Disconnect power to the trolling motor before beginning installation.
INSTALLING YOUR RECEIVER
1.
Using a screwdriver, remove the two side plate screws from the right side plate of the motor.
2.
Remove the three screws holding the containment cover located on the inside of the side plate you just removed in step one.
3.
Position the CoPilot receiver in the inside pocket of the side plate as shown in the diagram. The learn button should be
visible through the hole in the side plate. The CoPilot antenna and connector should be routed towards the back of the
motor.
4. Using the #4-24 X 3/8" mounting screw provided, fasten the receiver to the side plate.
5.
Route the antenna wire through the antenna slots, making sure to press the antenna wire firmly into the slots.
6. Route the connector cable through the first cable slot.
7.
Install the new CoPilot cover provided over the receiver board. Using the three #8-18 X 5/8" screws provided, fasten the
cover to the side plate.
8. Remove the dust cap from the connection port located towards the back end of the exposed side of the motor.
9.
Plug the CoPilot into this connection port and replace the side plate into its original position.
10. Secure the side plate with the original side plate screws.
NOTE: Do not apply lubricant or any type of grease to trolling motor connectors.
