Assembly
Disconnect the plug before any
work on the equipment. There is a
risk of injury.
Mounting grip rod
Fitting the lower bar:
1. Press both ends of the lower
bar (4) together and position
both boreholes in the pins at the
mounting of the device housing
(10).
2. Screw the lower bar tight (4)
with the enclosed short screws
and the star knob nut (6) both
right and left of the mounting of
the device housing (10).
Three positions are possible.
Fitting curved handle:
3. Screw the lower bow-type han-
dle tight (1) with the enclosed
long screws, washers and the
star knob nut (3) both right and
left of the lower bar (4).
Clipping in the cable holder
Clip the cable holder (15) into
the lower bar (4) and use it to
secure the equipment cable (18).
Assemble the carrying handle
of the grass catcher
1. Loosen the cross-drive screw
(14a) on the carrying handle (14).
2. Place the carrying handle (14)
on the upper side of the grass
catcher (7) and screw it tight
with a cross-drive screw (14a)
from below.
Operation
Attention: Do not operate the ap-
pliance until the collision guard
and grass catcher are fully in-
stalled. Risk of injury!
Insert/Remove the grass
catcher
Prior to using the catcher make
sure that
- the mulching kit (
been removed (see "Insert/Re-
move mulching kit"),
- the side ejection channel (
has been removed (see "Insert/
Remove side ejection channel").
If necessary, also remove the pro-
tection caps on the grass catcher.
Insert the grass catcher
1. Lift the collision guard (5).
2. Place the grass catcher (7) on
the mounting bracket (24) pro-
vided at the back of the lawn
mower.
3. Lower the collision guard (5)
onto the grass catcher (7) - it will
keep it in place.
Remove the grass catcher
4. Lift the collision guard (5).
5. Unhook the grass catcher from
the mounting bracket. Flap down
the collision guard to the housing.
On emptying the grass catcher also
refer to section "Disposal/environ-
ment".
