Placing into operation
1. Before connecting to the electricity supply ensure
that the supply voltage corresponds with the details
on the rating plate.
The connection should be made using a shockproof
socket earthed according to regulations.
2. Screw intake hose with filter by hand to the material
feed pump.
3. Screw special high pressure hose to the connection
for high-pressure hose using a open-ended spanner.
Connect spray gun with appropriate tip to the other
end.
4. Fill lubricant. Only so much that no lubricant drops
into the coating material container.
The lubricant prevents excessive wear and tear on
the packings.
5. Attention: do not use filter insert and filter
support in the high-pressure filter when spraying
filler-loaded coating materials.
6. Turn the material feed pump and place into a
container with an appropriate cleaning agent.
7. Open relief valve k.
8. Turn pressure regulator to the left as far as it will go.
9. Switch unit on.
10. Turn pressure regulator to the right. Wait until
cleaning agent comes out of the return hose.
11. Close relief valve p. Adjust pressure regulator to
required operating pressure.
12. Spray the remaining cleaning agent out of unit into
an open collecting container.
13. Allow the material feed pump to suck up the pre-
pared coating material.
14. The unit is ready for spraying.

General requirements for application
technology
Spray gun
Move the spray gun evenly while spraying to avoid an
irregular spraying effect. The spraying movement should
come from the arm and not the wrist. Keep a parallel
distance of 30 cm between spray gun and object being
sprayed. The sides of the spray jet should not be too
defined. The edges should fade away gradually, so that
the next run can slightly overlap. Always move the spray
gun parallel and at 90° to the spray surface thus
producing the least paint mist.
Attention
If the spray jet has sharp edges and streaks increase
operational pressure and thin the coating material.

High-pressure hose
The unit is fitted with a high-pressure hose especially
suitable for electrically driven piston pumps. For functio-
nal and safety reasons and to achieve the longest life-
span we recommend that only original WAGNER repla-
cement hoses are used.
Handling the high-pressure hose
Sharp bends and buckling of the high-pressure hose
should be avoided, the smallest bending radius should
be about 20 cm. Protect the high-pressure hose from
being run over and from sharp objects and edges.
Attention
Danger of injury from leaks in the high-pressure hose.
Do not use damaged high-pressure hoses. Never repair
a faulty high-pressure hose yourself!
