Im unteren Bereich der Menüseite wird unter „(Sta-
tus Kameraeingang)" angezeigt, an welchen Ein-
gängen Kameras angeschlossen sind. Ein Stern an-
stelle der Kameranummer bedeutet, daß an diesem
Anschluß keine Kamera vorhanden ist.

Menüpunkt 6: Alarm-Eingang einrichten
Auf der Menüseite „ALARMEINGANG EINRICH-
TEN" wird für jeden Alarm-Eingang der 16 Kamera-
kanäle festgelegt, ob er zugelassen werden soll,
und welche Polarität das Alarmsignal hat.

Über die Punkte „1" – „16", die auch direkt über die
Nummerntasten (15) anzuwählen sind, kann für
jeden Alarm-Eingang [siehe Kontaktbelegung der
Buchse ALARM (23) in Kap. 9] bestimmt werden, ob
er gesperrt („AUS") oder zugelassen ist für den
Empfang von einem externen Alarmmelder.
Soll der Alarm-Eingang zugelassen werden, den
Alarmkontakttyp wählen:
„NO" (normally open)
bedeutet Kontakttyp „Schließer";
„NG" (= NC = normally closed)
bedeutet Kontakttyp „Öffner".

Menüpunkt 7: Alarm einrichten
Auf der Menüseite „ALARM EINRICHTEN" werden
Einstellungen zum Verhalten des Geräts im Alarm-
fall vorgenommen.

"UNCHANGED":
The composition of the video multiplex signal for
the recording by the video recorder does not
change in case of alarm.
"ONLY":
In case of alarm only the cameras are recorded
of which the alarm inputs are active. This setting
is not recommended as for the duration of the
alarm the remaining camera pictures are not re-
corded.
"Alarm Display" indicates the display format for the
main monitor in case of alarm. It is possible to select
between the following settings:
"4 x 4":
In case of alarm all 16 camera pictures are dis-
played on the screen at the same time.
"FULL"
In case of alarm the camera of which the alarm
input has been activated is shown in the full
screen format. If several alarms occur at the
same time, the unit switches between the cam-
eras concerned in a cycle of 2 seconds.
"AUTO":
Depending on the kind of alarm, the optimum dis-
play format is selected automatically, e. g. full
screen display of a camera in case of individual
alarm, multiple picture in case of multiple alarm.
"Alarm Buzzer" indicates if a signal sound is to be
heard in case of alarm via the alarm inputs ("ON") or
not ("OFF").
Under "Alarm Hold Time" it is possible to select the
hold time for an alarm if it is not manually reset be-
fore the end. The adjustable range is 0 – 99 s. The
time adjusted here is at the same time the hold time
of an alarm in case of video loss, after a valid video
signal is present again.

Folgende Parameter können auf dieser Menüseite
eingestellt werden:
„Alarmaufzeichnung" gibt das Videoaufzeichnungs-
CAM(1–16)
format für den Alarmfall an. Es kann gewählt werden
zwischen den folgenden Einstellungen:
„INTERLEAVE":
Die Bilder der Kameras, für die ein Alarm anliegt,
werden mit erhöhter Häufigkeit gegenüber den
übrigen Kamerabildern an den Videorecorder ge-
sendet. Ist die aufzuzeichnende Bildsequenz
z. B. im Normalfall je ein Bild der Kameranum-
mern 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 1, 3, 4, 6 usw. wird die Bild-
folge bei Alarm am Eingang 1 und 3 in 1, 3, 4, 1,
3, 6, 1, 3, 8, 1, 3, 9, 1, 3, 4, 1, 3 usw. geändert.
„UNVERAENDERT":
Die Zusammensetzung des Video-Multiplex-Si-
gnals für die Videorecorderaufzeichnung ändert
sich im Alarmfall nicht.
„NUR":
Es werden im Alarmfall nur die Kameras auf-
gezeichnet, deren Alarm-Eingänge aktiv sind.
Diese Einstellung wird nicht empfohlen, da für die
Dauer des Alarms die übrigen Kamerabilder nicht
"Alarm Latch" indicates if an alarm is still to be
displayed beyond the above-adjusted hold time. If
this option is activated ("ON"), the alarm recording
mode, the alarm display mode, and the alarm relay
are reset again after the alarm hold time has
elapsed, however, the screen insertion "ALARM" in
the corresponding camera picture and the blinking
of the LED above the corresponding numerical key
(15) can only be reset again if the setting menu is
called.
If the option "Video Loss Alarm" is switched on
("ON"), the missing of a video signal is recognized at
an input originally connected to a camera and an
alarm is triggered, e. g. in case of camera failure or
line interruption (also see chapter 6.4.3 "Alarm in
case of video loss").
If the option "Video Loss Relay" is switched on
("ON"), the alarm relay is also actuated in case of
alarm with video loss. If this option is not activated
("OFF"), the relay is only active in case of alarm via
the alarm inputs.
"Video Loss Buzzer" indicates if a signal sound is
to be heard ("ON") or not ("OFF") in case of an alarm
with video loss.
"Video Loss Latch" indicates if an alarm with video
loss is still to be displayed beyond the above-ad-
justed alarm hold time after a valid video signal is
present again. If this option is activated ("ON"), the
alarm relay (if admitted for video loss alarm) is reset
again after the alarm hold time has elapsed. How-
ever, the screen insertion "VLOSS" in the corre-
sponding camera picture and the blinking of the LED
above the corresponding numerical key (15) can
only be reset again if the setting menu is called.
7.10 Menu item 8: Activity Detection Setup
On the menu page "ACTIVITY DETECTION" the
settings of the integrated motion detector are made.
„Alarmanzeigeart" gibt das Anzeigeformat für den

„Alarmton" gibt an, ob im Fall eines Alarms über
die Alarmeingänge ein Signalton zu hören sein soll
(„AN") oder nicht („AUS").
Unter „Zeit Alarm halten" läßt sich die Zeit wählen,
die ein Alarm gehalten werden soll, wenn er nicht vor-
zeitig manuell zurückgesetzt wird. Der einstellbare
Bereich ist 0 – 99 s. Die hier eingestellte Zeit ist
gleichzeitig die Haltedauer eines Alarms bei Bildver-
lust, nachdem wieder ein gültiges Videosignal anliegt.
„Alarmverschluß" gibt an, ob ein Alarm über die
oben eingestellte Haltezeit hinaus noch angezeigt
werden soll. Ist diese Option aktiviert („AN"), werden
zwar der Alarm-Aufnahmemodus, der Alarm-Anzei-
gemodus und das Alarm-Relais nach Ablauf der
Alarmhaltezeit wieder zurückgesetzt, aber die Bild-
schirmeinblendung „ALARM" im entsprechenden
Kamerabild und das Blinken der Leuchtdiode über
der entsprechenden Nummerntaste (15) lassen sich
nur über einen Aufruf des Bildschirm-Menüs wieder
zurücksetzen.
Ist die Option „Alarm bei Bildverlust" eingeschaltet
(„AN"), wird bei einem ursprünglich mit einer Kamera
verbundenen Anschluß das Fehlen eines Videosi-
gnals erkannt und Alarm ausgelöst, z. B. bei Ausfall

in the detection range of which an activity is rec-
ognized more precisely than the other cameras
which do not show any picture changes. Thereby
the unit does not react on the entire detection range
of a camera but only on a part of this range which
can be adjusted individually for each camera. If
changes (movements) occur in such an area, the
signal of the corresponding camera is given priority
treatment for the recording, i. e. it is sent with
increased frequency compared to the other camera
pictures via the output VCR OUT (21) to the video
recorder. If the picture sequence to be recorded
usually is e. g. one picture each of the camera num-
bers 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 1, 3, 4, 6, etc., the picture se-
quence is changed into 1, 3, 4, 1, 3, 6, 1, 3, 8, 1, 3,
9, 1, 3, 4, 1, 3, etc. if activities of cameras 1 and 3
are recognized.
Under "Activity Camera" the activity detection for
each camera can be switched on by means of the
corresponding numerical key (15) (the camera num-
ber is shown) or switched off (there is an asterisk in-
stead of the number).
The option "Activity Select" decides if in case of
activity detection the respective camera pictures are
sent to the video recorder with increased frequency
compared to the remaining camera pictures ("ON")
or not ("OFF").

zwischen den betroffenen Kameras zyklisch im
2-Sekunden-Takt umgeschaltet.
Es wird automatisch auf das für den jeweiligen
Alarmfall optimale Bildformat geschaltet, z. B.
Vollbilddarstellung einer Kamera bei Einzelalarm,
Mehrfachbild bei Mehrfachalarm.
