8. Adjusting Zoom, Focusing the Image
The surveillance camera is equipped with a manually adjustable zoom lens; it is also possible to focus the image. On
the front of the surveillance camera (to the left and to the right of the lens) there are two countersunk screws which can
be adjusted with the small screwdriver included. Do not use any force when turning!
Using the "ZOOM" screw, you can adjust the desired zoom range; using the "FOCUS" screw, you can focus the image.
Due to the design, it may not be possible to focus the image further with the "FOCUS" screw when the
"ZOOM" screw is at either end position (left or right limit stop).
In that case, turn the "ZOOM" screw back a little and then focus the image.
9. Select OSD menu
As a special feature, the surveillance camera supports the UTC function (UTC = "up the coax"). This means that the
OSD menu can be conveniently accessed directly via the DVR in order to adjust the settings.
Both accessing the OSD menu from the surveillance camera as well as the transfer of the settings from the DVR back
to the surveillance camera is done directly through the coaxial cable that connects the surveillance camera and the
DVR.
If you use a DVR that does not support the UTC function, you must use an external OSD controller plugged
in between the surveillance camera and DVR.
There surveillance camera itself does not offer the option of accessing the OSD menu or adjusting the set-
tings in the OSD menu. This is only possible via a corresponding DVR or a suitable OSD controller.
How to access the OSD menu on your DVR (or via an external OSD controller) is described in the corresponding user
manual. Generally, the function can be found under "PTZ" on the DVR menu.
