Specific safety information:
The voltage on the identification plate must match that of the mains supply.
Never immerse the cord, plug, socket or motor unit in water or any other liquid.
Do not pull at or twist the power cord. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qua-
lified technician. To avoid any danger, do not use the appliance if the cord or the appliance itself is
damaged.
Do not insert fingers or a utensil into the filling hole. Do not touch any of the moving parts.
Disconnect the machine before changing accessories.
Do not use sharp objects or utensils inside the cooling vessel. A rubber spatula or wooden spoon
can be used when the unit is set in the "off" position.
Always disconnect the machine when there is a malfunction, whenever opening the cover or when
assembling or cleaning the machine.
Strictly for domestic use only.
Check the bottom of the cooling bowl prior to each use. Do not use the machine if there is a leak or
a crack.
Always use the appliance on a clean, flat, hard, dry surface. Do not place the appliance on a hot
surface - a hot plate, for example, and not to use it or leave it near a naked flame.
Never heat the cooling bowl. Never use it in either a conventional or microwave oven.
Do not let the power lead touch any hot surface, or let it hang down over the edge of a table or
counter.
Do not let the appliance operate for more than one hour at a time. Let it stand for 30 minutes betwe-
en uses.
Switch off the appliance before cleaning and when not in use.
Do not expose the cooling bowl to a temperature greater than 40°C. Do not put it in a dishwasher
or fill it with hot liquid.
Never handle the cooling bowl with wet hands.
Store the apparatus in a dry place and ideally in its original box.
This appliance should not be used by anyone (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capacities or by anyone with insufficient experience or knowledge to use the device, unless
they are either supervised or provided with instructions on how to use the appliance in advance by
a person responsible for their safety.
Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
No responsibility can be taken for any damage caused by a failure to comply with these instructions
or by inappropriate use or poor handling of the appliance.
Freezing the cooling bowl:
The most important step to make ice cream is to ensure that the cooling bowl is properly frozen.
The liquid between the walls of the cooling bowl must be completely frozen BEFORE using the ice
cream maker and adding your mix of ingredients. Place the cooling bowl in your freezer. Check that
the freezer temperature is around -18 ° C.
The time required to properly freeze the cooling bowl (minimum 8 hours) will depend on the tempe-
rature of and how full your freezer is. For best results, place the cooling bowl at the bottom of your
freezer where the temperature is the coldest.
Shake the bowl to check the level of freezing: you should no longer hear the sound of liquid inside.
