A 11.1 Sonosoft-LUX-ZEG
Questo detartarizzatore della KaVo consente di
rimuovere agevolmente e senza provocare do-
lore,con una frequenza di oscillazione di 30
kHz, il tartaro dentario, la patina ed il cemento
eccessivo, effettuando delicate pennellate paral-
lele alle superfici dei denti naturali.
L'intensità viene regolata mediante una sche-
da elettronica collegata al reostato a pedale,
per cui possono essere utilizzate liberamente
ambedue le mani per eseguire le
altre operazioni necessarie.
Il getto d'acqua viene spruzzato attraverso la
testina dello strumento e, a seconda del tipo di
punta utilizzata, la sua intensità può essere
controllata per mezzo del rubinetto di
regolazione dell'acqua. La regolazione della
portata d'acqua deve essere effettuata in modo
tale che le punte degli strumenti spruzzino
l'acqua grazie alla loro intensità di oscillazio-
ne. Una regolazione ottimale è data
quando l'acqua fuoriuscente raggiunge la
temperatura corporea.
Negli accessori della dotazione standard sono
compresi 3 inserti per strumenti.
Per motivi di praticità e di igiene, gli inserti
degli strumenti dovrebbero essere conservati
nell'apposita custodia a tubo.
I danneggiamenti meccanici delle
punte (rottura in seguito a caduta,
deformazioni ecc.) pregiudicano il
funzionamento ottimale
dell'apparecchio.
Inserimento degli inserti degli strumenti
Le punte degli strumenti conservate nella
custodia a tubo vengono avvitate e bloccate
manualmente con rotazione destrorsa nel
manipolo. La custodia a tubo deve poter esse-
re avvitata delicatamente. Se si riscontra resi-
stenza già durante i primi giri, si deve smonta-
re di nuovo lo strumento e iniziare da capo
l'operazione.
La custodia a tubo serve:
1. come chiave per il cambio degli inserti
degli strumenti
2. per conservare gli inserti degli strumenti
3. per la sterilizzazione degli inserti degli
strumenti
4. come protezione degli inserti degli
strumenti avvitati nel manipolo.

A 11.1 Détartreur Sonosoft LUX
Doté d'une fréquence de vibrations de 30
kHz, le détartreur KaVo SONOSOFT se
manipule comme un pinceau, par de légers
mouvements suivant les contours de la dent. Il
élimine sans effort et en douceur tartre, plaque
dentaire et ciment superflu.
L'intensité est commandée électroniquement
par l'intermédiaire du rhéostat de façon à ce
que le prati- cien conserve l'entière liberté de
ses mains.
L'eau jaillit à la pointe de l'in- sert; un robinet
de réglage permet d'en modifier le débit en
fonction de l'insert. Le débit doit être réglé de
façon à ce que la vibra tion de l'insert entraîne
la va- porisation de l'eau. Le débit optimal est
obtenu lorsque l'eau projetée est à peu près à
la tem- pérature du corps.
Le détartreur KaVo est fourni avec un étui
contenant 3 inserts.
Pour des raisons d'ordre et d'hygiène, conser-
ver les inserts dans le manipulateur.
Le fonctionnement correct du

Mise en place des inserts
Insérer l'insert monté dans le manipulateur
dans la pièce à main en vissant vers la droite.
Le manipulateur doit tourner facilement. En
cas de résistance à la première rotation, des-
serrer l'instrument et recommande l'opérati-
on.
Le manipulateur sert:
1. de clé pour changer les inserts
2. à ranger les inserts
3. à stériliser les inserts
4. à protéger l'insert vissé dans la pièce à
main

A 11.1 Sonosoft LUX ZEG (Scaler)
The KaVo dental scaler is used to scale natu-
ral teeth and to remove superfluous cement at
an oscillation frequency of 30 kHz. The teeth
are easily, gently and painlessly scaled using
light, brush-like movements along the surface
of the tooth.
The intensity is electronically controlled via a
foot switch to leave the dentist's hands free
for treatment.
Water is supplied through the working tip,
and the water amount may be regulated by
adjusting the water control cock according to
the tip used. The amount of water supplied
must be such that the instrument tips atomize
the water with the intensity of their oscillati-
on. The optimum setting is reached when the
water spray is at about body temperature.
Three instrument inserts are supplied as stan-
dard accessories.
For reasons of simplified handling and hygie-
ne, the instrument inserts should be stored in
the changing tool.
If the tips have been mechanically
damaged (i.e. if they have been
d r o p p e d , b e n t , e t c . ) , i t i s l i k e l y
t h a t t h e y w i l l n o t p e r f o r m p r o-
p e r l y .
Inserting the instrument insert
The instrument tip contained in the changing
tool is manually screwed into the handpiece
by turning it clockwise. Then tighten.
The changing tool must move easily on the
thread. If there is resistance during the first
few revolutions, loosen the instrument and
repeat the procedure.
The changing tool serves the following purpo-
ses:
1. as a key to change the instrument inserts
2. to store the instrument inserts
3. to sterilize the instrument inserts
4. to protect the instrument inserts screwed
into the handpiece.
