CAUTION
・ The cables will stretch after several hours of use. If the machine is used without adjusting the
cables, it may cause a malfunction. Be sure to retighten the nut after each adjustment.
・ To change speed ALWAYS start the engine and move the main clutch lever to the work position.
Changing the speed lever while engine is off may cause damage to the transmission.
5.2.7 How to adjust belt
・ Please check the belt tension and position of the belt guide when replacing the belt, to make
sure there is room for cable adjustments.
・ New belts will naturally stretch a bit

CAUTION
・ Please properly replace covers after they are removed for adjustment.
・ Be sure to check that each lever and function works properly after the adjustment.
initially, please readjust them after 2-3 hours of use.
Please make sure that there is 1/7-1/4 inch (4-6mm)
slack if you push the belt lightly when the main clutch
lever is on.
・ If the belt is too loose, adjust main clutch cable
tension first. (Refer 5.2.8)
・ If there is not enough room for cable adjustment,
loosen the bolt which holds the transmission, then
move whole transmission toward back shown in the
picture to add extra tension. Please perform cable
adjustment again.
・ When the main clutch lever is in the ON position, the
gap between the belt and the belt guide should be
about 1/10 inch (3mm).
・ If the gap is not enough, loosen the bolt and adjust
the belt guide. When the main clutch lever is in the
OFF position, the belt should not move.
