Purpose
Bevel slide miter saw is suitable for linear, cross miter and
bevel cutting of wood and soft platic. Logs (pipes and timber
in the round) are strictly prohibited to cut on this tool. The
same with metal materials.
Failure to observe the safety rules stated in this Instruction
manual and other basic stipulations in force cannot lead into
the responsibility of the manufacturer for any damage that
might occure from above mentioned.
Meaning of terms
Saw spindle
it is a spindle where the saw blade is fixed to.
Crosscuts
Cut across the fibres
Sloping cut
Procedure when the cut is not done perpendicularly
towards the surface of a workpiece.
Bevel cuts
Procedure when the cut is not done perpendicularly
towards the front of a workpiece
Double bevel cut
Combination of a beveled and sloping cut
Revolutins per minute
Number of revolutions that an object makes in one
minute.
Cut line
Area of a workpiece or table which is directly in line of the
saw blade cut even that part of a workpiece that was
already saw up.
Rake
Extent of how much the bent saw tooth laps over the
blade edge.
Sawn joint
Joint made while removing the material by rotating saw
blade.
Deviation
Faulty setting of the saw blade
Resin
Dried resin in the timber
Workpiece
An object which is cut or split.

Different risks and proper protection
Mechanical risks
Cutting, cutting off
Danger of rotating parts:
Take particular safety precautions while working with small
workpieces. Always use feeding adapter, which is part of the
delivery. Worn out or damaged part hast to be replaced
immediately.
Contact with rotating saw blade can result in serious
bodily injury. Never touch the saw blade while rotating.
Winding up, catch in
Loose clothing, bracelets and long hair may be caught in
the rotating parts.
Use skin tight apparel and remove the bracelets and similar
objects. Cover your hair by a hairnet.
Electrical risks
Direct contact with the electric current.
Damaged cord or plug can cause electric shock.
Replace damaged cords or plugs by an expert. Use the tool
only when it is equipped by a safety switch. (FI)
Nondirect contact with the electric current
Injuries caused by conductible parts on exposed or
damaged components.
Always unplug the cord while doing maintanence. Operate
only with safety switch FI.
Injuries caused by noise
Hearing damage
Longlasting work with the tool can result in hearing
damage.
Always use ear protection
Injuries caused by materials or othe substances
Contact, breath in
High dustness can result in lungs damage. It is caused by
operation without dust suction. Wear respirator while working
with the tool. Connect the dust sucking unit and use it.
Neglecting the ergonomic rules
Careless using of personal safety gear
Operating the tool without proper protective gear can result in
serius bodily injury. Always use recommended apparel and
with concentration and forethought.
Inadequate local lighting
Ineadequate local lighting represents great safety risk.
Confirm while operating the tool that the lighting is sufficient.
Other risks
Fling away objects
While cutting the saw or mechanical particals can damage
your eyes. Always wear safety goggles.
Disposal
Disposal instructions are illustrated in the form of pictograms
on the device or packaging. Description of the pictograms is
given in "Identification" chapter.
Disposal of transport packaging
Packaging protects the device against damage during
transport. Packaging materials are usually selected according
to their effect on environment and disposal methods and can
therefore be recycled.
Returning of the packaging back to circulation saves
resources and costs for packaging disposal.
Parts of the packaging (e.g. foil, styropor) may be dangerous
for children. Risk of suffocation!
Keep these parts of the packaging out of reach of children
and dispose as soon as possible.
