3. Check the spark gap using a
feeler gauge (available from
specialist shops). The spark gap
must be at least 0.75 mm.
4. If necessary, adjust the gap by
carefully bending the ground
electrode on the spark plug.
5. Clean the spark plug with a wire
brush.
6. Insert the cleaned and adjusted
spark plug or replace a dam-
aged spark plug with a new one
(Champion XC92YC) (recom-
mended torque 20 Nm, deter-
mined with a torque wrench).

Changing the Engine Oil

For oil change, tilt equipment back-
ward with handlebar. Do not place
equipment on side to prevent oper-
ating liquids from leaking.
• Change the engine oil for the
first time after around 5 operat-
ing hours then every 50 operat-
ing hours or annually.
• Change the engine oil when the
engine is warm.
• Dispose of the used oil in an
ecofriendly manner (see "dis-
posal / environmental protec-
tion").
1. Remove the spark plug terminal .
2. Open oil drainage screw (internal
square socket) at the base of the
equipment.
3. Drain the motor oil into a suitable con-
tainer.
4. Wipe up spilled motor oil and refasten
oil drainage screw.
5. Place equipment upright and refill mo-
tor oil (see „Initial Operation").

Adjusting the Bowden Cable

If the Bowden cable becomes misplaced
for the drive and has too much play, it can
be adjusted.
1. Loosen the small lock nut (35).
2. - Turn the adjusting nut (36)
anticlockwise:
The Bowden cable shortens.
- Turn the adjusting nut (36)
clockwise:
The Bowden cable lengthens.

Sharpening/Replacing the Blade

Take off the spark plug and check the
blade for wear and damage.
Always have a blunt blade resharp-
ened by a specialist workshop, as an
imbalance check can be carried out
there.
Always have a specialist workshop
change a damaged or imbalanced
blade. Incorrect installation can result
in serious injury.

Adjusting the Carburettor

The carburettor has been preset in the
factory for optimum performance. If read-
justments are required, have the adjust-
ments made by a specialist workshop.

Storage

General Storage Instructions

Do not store the equipment
with a full collection box. In hot
weather, the grass begins to fer-
ment when heat is generated.
Risk of fire.
