8 Mounting information

● Observe the permissible load capacity of the
roof (min. 200 kg/m²).
● Lay connecting cables (ventilation duct, pow-
er cable, control cable) at the installation site.
● The customer must provide suitable mount-
ing material (strength class 8.8) which is suffi-
ciently dimensioned to support the basic unit.
● To avoid sound bridges with the structure,
observe distances from other façade compo-
nents. If necessary, use isolating elements.
● If an earthing connection is provided, lay an
earth conductor to the installation site. Allow
sufficient cable length into the MDR housing.
Alternatively, the earthing connection can
also be made on the outside of the roof flash-
ing [6]. For MDR-PG and MDR-VG variants,
the earthing strap is included in delivery and
already pre-assembled.
● If the electrical connecting cables are fed
through the empty conduits into the terminal
box, cables with excessively large cross-sec-
tions can get stuck in the elbow [13]. Observe
