● parallel operation of air-ventilated fire-
places for liquid or gaseous fuels and the
air-extracting equipment can be prevented
via safety devices, or
● the extraction of exhaust gas from the
air-ventilated fireplaces is monitored by
special safety equipment.
● Install a function monitor with alarm function
to warn persons in case of malfunctions/unit
failure and to avoid damage to property.
3.3 Safety instructions for electrics
Danger from electric shock, fire or short-circu-
iting when failing to comply with the relevant
regulations for electrical installations.
● Note the rules of safety. Work on live parts is
prohibited. Before starting work on the elec-
trical system, switch off all supply circuits (use
integrated service switch to switch off fan)
and secure with a padlock so they cannot be
switched on again. Attach a warning sign in a
clearly visible place. Use a two-pole voltage
detector to ensure the parts are not live.
● The operating company undertakes to only
operate the fan when in perfect condition.
