Fault
Cause
The load cannot be lowered / slackened although the rope can be lifted / pulled.
Driven reeler:
Rope end switch (limit switch DOWN) or slack rope monitor has been
triggered.
The rope cannot be fed in.
Rope tip faulty.
The driven reeler has not wound on cleanly and a loop has formed.
The sliding clutch is incorrectly set up
Oil level insufficient.
Oil leaking from the driven reeler.
Driven reeler sliding clutch is leaking.

Elimination
– Eliminate the slack rope: e.g. turn the drum manually until the rout-
ing arm releases the limit switch.
– Determine the cause.
– Avoid reoccurrence, e.g. by using a longer rope.
– Renewing rope tips, see '15.4 Care and maintenance, Rope' on
page 22.
– Have TRACTEL Greifzug GmbH inspect/adjust the driven reeler.
– Have the oil level checked by authorized maintenance personnel.
– Have TRACTEL Greifzug GmbH repair the driven reeler.
