Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the following steps, contact the
customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!

Possible cause
The igniter (9) is not being sup-
plied with power because the
battery has been inserted incor-
rectly or is empty.
The gas cylinder is closed.
The gas cylinder is empty.
The screw connections on the
pressure reducer or gas hose
are not tight.
The gas hose is kinked or
squashed.
The gas supply is too low.
Gas-carrying components are
blocked.

Fix
Check whether the battery has
been inserted as indicated on
the closure (14). If not, correct
this.
Replace the empty battery with
a new one.
Open the valve of the gas
cylinder.
Replace the gas cylinder.
Tighten the connections.
Lay the gas hose smoothly.
Turn the control knob (1) to the
ON position.
Follow the instructions in the
"Cleaning and Maintenance"
chapter – "Maintenance Tasks"
to remove the blockage.
