■
Even if a gas cylinder appears to be
empty, there will still be gas inside.
It should therefore be handled,
transported and stored just like a full
cylinder.
DANGER of Fire and Explo-
sion
■
Never connect the grill to the natu-
ral gas grid (municipal gas grid)!
The valves and nozzles are de-
signed exclusively for liquid gas.
■
Do not use the device if there are
highly fl ammable or explosive
substances in the air or surrounding
environment. Do not store any
fuel or other fl ammable vapours or
liquids in the vicinity of this device or
other devices and do not use such
substances with this device.
■
When the gas cylinder is connected,
there should not be any ignition
sources in the vicinity of the device, in
particular no naked fl ames or burning
cigarettes, candles, lamps etc. Electri-
cal devices can also pose a danger if
gas is escaping when they are con-
nected.
■
No gas cylinder which is not
connected for immediate use should
be stored in the vicinity of this device
or other devices.
■
Do not insert anything into the
ventilation openings of the device
and make sure that these do not
become clogged before the device is
put into operation. Like most devices
which are used outdoors, the device
is a possible refuge for spiders and
insects. Blockages of the components
which carry gas may hinder the fl ow
of gas, which may reduce the level of
performance or even cause the gas
to fl ow into the housing of the device
rather than into the Venturi tube. This
may cause a defl agration / fi re. The
21
cooled device should therefore always
be well covered.
■
In the following cases, the Venturi tube
and the suction intake opening should
be cleaned in accordance with the
"Cleaning and Maintenance" chapter
as they might be blocked:
– Smell of gas along with a very
yellow and weak burner fl ame.
– The desired temperature is not
reached.
– The device heats up unevenly or the
fl ame fl ickers.
■
Do not place any vessels fi lled with oil
or other liquids into the device.
■
If the fl ame in the burner goes out,
close all gas valves. Wait approx.
5 minutes before igniting again to
prevent defl agration.
■
Do not cover the device while it is still
hot to prevent a fi re.
■
In the event of a fi re: Close all valves!
Do not extinguish with water! Smother
the fl ames with a fi re blanket or a suit-
able fi re extinguisher.
■
Batteries must not be taken apart,
thrown into a fi re, immersed in liquid or
short-circuited.
■
Only ever use the device with the gas
types / cylinders which are specifi ed in
the "Technical Data" chapter. Do not
use any other gas sources.
■
Never use the device without the
pressure reducer! Only ever use the
pressure reducer which is supplied
or a pressure reducer which meets
the specifi cations of the relevant EN
standard (see the "Technical Data"
chapter).
■
The gas hose may be no longer than
1.5 m and must meet the specifi ca-
tions of the relevant EN standard
(EN 16436-1) (see the "Technical
Data" chapter).
