THE MECHANICAL ADAPTORS

The mechanical sensors allow measurement by contact at the end of a shaft or on
a linear moving surface. There are three of them and they all fit to the same
mechanism.
These mechanical sensors and their adaptor are not supplied with the tachometer.

SPECIFICATIONS

- Pointed tip
Enables measurement by contact at the end of an axle hollowed out to receive it
(diameter >5 mm).
It consists of an 80 shores rubberised cone, with a maximum diameter of 15 mm.
This is fitted with a "RAPID" clip.
- Cylindrical tip
It also allows measurement by contact at the end of a rotating axle (diameter <5 mm), but
it is more suited to flat contact or contact with a lug. It consists of a ∅ 15 mm cylinder
of 80 shores rubber fitted with a "RAPID" clip.
- Wheel tip
It allows the measurement of linear speed by direct contact with the moving part.
The diameter of the wheel is 31.831 mm (circumference of 10 cm ± 0.1 mm).
It consists of an 80 shores rubber wheel fitted with surface wear indicators.
- Mechanical adaptor
The mechanical adaptor receives the tips that are attached with a "RAPID" clip. The
adaptor fits on the front part and makes the mechanical/optical conversion that is
necessary for measurement by the tachometer.
WARNING :
The adaptor withstands a maximum rotational speed of 10,000 rpm.
Maximum axial and radial strain must not exceed 40N.
