A battery compartment access cover is located at the base of the back of the instrument (see § 5.1
Changing the battery).
3.1
Installation
First ensure that the transmitter is not turned on.
Connect the instrument between the transmitter output and the antenna or the 50 W load.
Perform the "Battery test" by holding down pushbutton
galvanometer. If it is adequately charged, the needle should be in the range indicated on the
galvanometer. Otherwise, to change the battery, see § 5.1 Changing the battery.
3.2
Measurement of incident power
n If you do not know the power, start by turning switch
n Turn the function switch
n Turn on the transmitter
n Press the Measure pushbutton once.
n Select the most appropriate setting on the switch

Measurement of reflected power
n Turn the switch
n Turn the function switch
n Press the Measure pushbutton once.
n Select the most appropriate setting on the switch
Note :
The instrument only starts operating when the Measurement button is pressed. This enables a comfortable
battery charge life.
The instrument powers down automatically 5 to 10 minutes after being turned on.
If you have not finished testing, press the Measurement button again.
