SMOOTHING THE MEASUREMENT

This function is only available during measurement, PRGM not visible on the
display.
One press on the
button activates smoothing of the measurement
SMOOTH
(SMOOTH is displayed). The digital value indicated is then the result of a sliding
average calculated from 10 measurements (approx. 5 seconds).
The bargraph still indicates the instantaneous measurement.
On MIN/MAX recording, if the SMOOTH symbol is displayed, the values recorded
are the filtered ones (smoothed).
Switching On or Off the SMOOTH mode during MIN/MAX recording cancels the
MIN and MAX values already stored.
Note: The SMOOTH function is not available on the counting function (COUNT
displayed). Pressing
set off a 4 kHz beep.

MANUAL RANGE SELECTION

This function is available on measurement mode, PRGM is not displayed.
When it is first switched on, or when the measurement function is changed, the
instrument selects the measurement ranges automatically. Each function has 4 or
5 digital ranges, except for the duty % function which only has 2 ranges.
On automatic operation, the digital display has a display capacity of 20,000 counts
and the analogue end of scale can take the values :
2-20-200-2000-20,000 and 200,000.
On automatic mode, the digital display changes to a higher range when 20,000
counts are reached.
A first brief press (< 2s) on
holds the automatic change of range of
RANGE
both displays for the current measurement. RANGE appears on the display. The
digital indicator then has a display capacity of 100,000 counts.
