4. SAFETY FEATURES AND PROTECTIVE FEATURES

4.1 ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Instrument with double insulation or reinforced insulation in the hand-held part in

normal use, and with single insulation or additional insulation between the primary
and the secondary output.
Maximum service voltage (in accordance with IEC 1010-1) in relation to earth:

- 600 V in installations of category III and degree of pollution 2
- 300 V in installations of category IV and degree of pollution 2.
Dielectric strength test (in accordance with IEC 1010-1):

- 5550 V (50/60 Hz) between the hand-held parts in normal use on one hand, and
the primary with the secondary on the other hand.
- 3250 V (50/60 Hz) between the primary on one hand, and the secondary on the
other hand.
