BPW height adjustment and support devices
5 Klemmfix 72/D, acting in tension
In the contracted state, the Klemmfix 72/Z is
supplied with a basic length of approx. 720
mm and installed in this condition.
The drawbar is raised by approx. 300 mm
from the horizontal.
The bogie connection point with the
Klemmfix length of 720 mm means the con
nection point of the height adjustment device
is on the lengthways strut of the drawbar.
The connection point on the crossways strut
is already provided on BPW drawbars.
However, it can only be used if the Klemmfix
length of 720 mm can be maintained during
installation, i.e. the crossways strut must be
welded on 750 mm from the bearing eye
connection in the direction of travel.
The connection point on the bogie of the
trailer must be fitted according to the
following diagram:

Important!
The bellows of the Klemmfix 72/Z must be angled slightly
downwards when the drawbar is horizontal.

compression

PAL is supplied with a basic length of approx.
720 mm and installed in this condition.
The drawbar is lowered by approx. 300 mm
from the horizontal.
The bogie connection point with the
Klemmfix length of 720 mm means the con
nection point of the height adjustment device
is on the lengthways strut of the drawbar.
Important!
The bellows of the Klemmfix 72/D must
be angled slightly downwards when the
drawbar is horizontal.
The connection point on the bogie frame of
the trailer must be fitted according to the
following diagram:
