6. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible. The power
LEDs (12) behind the water tank will illuminate in red as soon as operating voltage is present.
Wait until the appliance has reached the operating temperature and the power LEDs are blue.
7. Push the steam On/Off switch (4) on the front of the main unit. (The steam activating switch
on the back (13) has been deactivated when the handle bar is inserted.) Steam will begin to
be emitted from the cleaning head. You can now increase the quantity of steam by turning
the knob for the steam quantity control. NOTE: After the knob is turned, it will take a few
seconds until the respective steam quantity is reached.
8. Hold the appliance by the handle and tip it slightly towards the fl oor in order to release it
from the upright locking position.
9. Slowly slide the cleaning head back and forth over the fl oor. The fl oor will be cleaned in the
process.
10. When you have fi nished cleaning the fl oor, push the steam On/Off switch and pull the mains
plug out of the socket. Never pull on the cord, but always on the plug.
11. Wait a few minutes for the appliance to cool off before you remove the fl oor pad. Be aware
that when turning off the appliance a wet area can form beneath the cleaning head.
12. Follow the instructions in the section "After use".
Use as a handheld steam cleaner
1. Take the handle bar and cleaning head off of the main unit and mount the nozzle adapter with
the desired nozzle on it (see chapter "Assembling the appliance" and "Appliance functions
(Nozzle functions)").
2. Fill the water tank (see chapter "Filling the water tank").
5. Push the steam On/Off switch (4) on the front of the main unit. In order to emit steam, Push
the steam acivating switch (13) on the back of the main unit. Release the steam activating
switch to stop emitting steam. You can now increase the quantity of steam by turning the
knob for the steam quantity control. Note: After the knob is turned, it will take a few se-
conds until the respective steam quantity is reached.
6. Slowly let the nozzle glide over the surface to be cleaned.
7. When you have fi nished cleaning, push the steam On/Off switch and pull the mains plug out
of the socket. Never pull on the cord, but always on the plug.
8. Wait a few minutes for the appliance to cool off. Afterwards, you can change the nozzle.
9. Follow the instructions in the section "After use".
