4) Operating with CPT as master
4.1 Start/Stop the fans
Start/stopping the fans is carried out by the softstop function of the CPT, and not via the 230V power supply. It is also
possible to start/stop the fans with an contact linked between terminals +12V and IN1 of the CBr4 (the K1/K2/K3 entries of
the CBr4 can then not be connected), see diagram / in appendix 1.

4.2 Working modes

The CPT TAC3 kit allows to configure the CPT in one of the 4 modes :
CA MODE :
The user defines 3 constant airflow instructions for fans F1,F2 : m³h K1, m³h K2 et m³h K3.
These are activated using entries I/II/III of the CPTand highlighted by LEDs I II III of the same CPT.
Assigned airflows of F3 and F4 is a user defined percentage of the airflow of F1 (%F34/F12).
MODE CPf :
CPf on F1: Fans F1/F2 are automatically modulated to keep a given pressure value constant according to the calculated
pressure value on the fan. Assigned airflows F3 and F4 is a user defined percentage %F34/F12 of the airflow of F1.
CPf on F3: Fans F3/F4 are automatically modulated to keep a given pressure value constant according to the calculated
pressure value on the fan. Assigned airflows F1 and F2 is a user defined percentage of the airflow of F3 (1/%F34/F12).
Fan operation is controlled by knobs OFF and I.
Knob III allows activation of another pressure instruction (for instance night/day).
MODE CPs :
CPs on F1: Fans F1/F2 are automatically modulated to keep a given pressure value constant according to the measured
pressure value in the ducting. Assigned airflows F3 and F4 is a user defined percentage %F34/F12 of the airflow of F1.
CPs on F3: Fans F3/F4 are automatically modulated to keep a given pressure value constant according to the measured
pressure value in the ducting. Assigned airflows F1 and F2 is a user defined percentage of the F3 airflow (1/%F34/F12).
Fan operation is controlled by knobs OFF and I.
The pressure sensor is connected to entry K2 of the CBr4.
Knob III allows activation of another pressure instruction (for instance night/day).
MODE LS :
H The requested airflow value for fans F1 / F2 is a function of the signal 0-10V connected at on entry K2 ( linear link).
The user defines the link LS with 4 values Vmin, Vmax, m³h≡Vmin and m³h≡Vmax.
Assigned airflows of F3 and F4 is a user defined percentage %F34/F12 of airflow of F1 (except if a separate 0-10V signal
is connected and set up with advanced setup to control F3/4).
Fan operation is controlled by knobs OFF and I.
The pressure sensor is connected to entry K2 of the CBr4.
Knob III allows activation of another airflow instruction (for instance night/day).
Principle schematic :
Value m³h≡Vmin can be smaller or greater than m³h≡Vmax.
Note: in « advanced setup » it s possible to stop the fan when the signal is
lower or higher than set value.
