Attention!
During the charging procedure, place the LiPo battery on a fire-proof support or in an appropriate clay
vessel.
Never charge the battery unobserved.
The plug-in mains adapter is to be used in dry indoor locations only. It must not become damp or wet. Never
touch them with wet or damp hands. There is the risk of a potentially fatal electric shock.
b) Checking the Drive Mechanics
Before commissioning your model helicopter, you need to check the drive mechanics.
Only if the mechanics work securely, without play and absolutely smoothly can be model fly with the lowest possible
energy expenditure. For this reason, you should check the model function before each flight.
For this, carefully turn the two main rotors back and forth
and check the interaction of the two main gears (1) and the
motor pinions (2).
The gears must securely fit into each other without catching
or showing too much friction.
The two motor shafts with the drive pinions must be aligned
perfectly straight and must not be eccentric.
The centrifugal weight rod (3) at the upper rotor must be
aligned precisely straight and its ends must be easy to move
up and down.
The linkage levers of the upper rotor (4) must not be difficult
to move or catch in any position.
For better presentation, the landing skids were
disassembled for the upper photograph in figure
5. However, this is not required for a visual
inspection of the gear function.
