3) Sobald an den Nebengeräten die Steuersignale
vom Hauptgerät anliegen, leuchtet bei ihnen die
rote LED SLAVE (13) konstant. Die Bewegungen
der Nebengeräte können mit dem Hauptgerät
synchron laufen oder genau entgegengesetzt
(z. B. wenn nur ein Nebengerät eingesetzt wird).
a) Zum Umschalten zwischen synchroner und
entgegengesetzter Bewegung
MENU (10) am Nebengerät viermal drücken,
so dass im Display
gezeigt wird.
b) Die Taste ENTER (12) drücken. Das Display
blinkt.
c) Mit der Taste DOWN oder UP (11) zwischen
für synchrone Bewegungen und
für entgegengesetzte Bewegungen umschal-
ten.
d) Zum Speichern die Taste ENTER drücken.
Das Display zeigt für einige Sekunden
Danach erscheint wieder die gewählte Be-
triebsart und der Programmablauf startet.
Wird die Taste ENTER nicht innerhalb von
8 Sekunden betätigt, schaltet das Gerät auf
die vorherige Einstellung zurück.
6.2 Mini-Controller LC-3
Über den als Zubehör erhältlichen Mini-Controller
LC-3 lassen sich verschiedene Funktionen steuern.
1) Die Controller an die Buchse REMOTE CON-
TROL (16) anschließen.
2) Der DMX-Eingang (15) darf nicht angeschlossen
sein; die gelbe LED MASTER (13) muss leuchten.
3) Über den DMX-Ausgang (14) können weitere
WASH-250 angeschlossen werden, um diese mit
dem Controller des Hauptgeräts im Master/
Slave-Betrieb zu steuern (siehe Kap. 6.1.1).
4) Mit der Taste STAND BY (19) lässt sich die Funk-
tion Blackout ein- und ausschalten. Bei einge-
schalteter Funktion leuchtet die LED neben der
Taste. Der Schwenkkopf fährt in die Ausgangs-
position und die Blende wird geschlossen.
2) Connect the output DMX OUT of the first slave
unit to the input DMX IN of the second slave unit,
etc.
3) As soon as the control signals from the master
unit are present at the slave units, their red LED
SLAVE (13) will constantly light up. The move-
ments of the slave units may be in sync with the
master unit or be exactly opposite to it (e. g. if
only one slave unit is used).
a) To switch between movement in sync and
opposite movement, press the button MENU
(10) on the slave unit four times so that the
display will show (slave mode).
b) Press the button ENTER (12). The display
starts flashing.
c) With the button DOWN or UP (11), switch be-
tween for movements in sync and
for opposite movements.
d) To memorize, press the button ENTER. The
display will show for a few seconds.
Then the selected operating mode will re-
appear and the programme sequence will
start. If the button ENTER is not actuated for
8 seconds, the unit will return to its previous
adjustment.
6.2 Miniature controller LC-3
The miniature controller LC-3 available as an acces-
sory allows to control different functions:
1) Connect the controller to the jack REMOTE
CONTROL (16).
2) The input DMX IN (15) must not be connected;
the yellow LED MASTER (13) must light up.
3) Via the output DMX OUT (14), it is possible to
connect further WASH-250 units in order to con-
trol them with the controller of the master unit in
the master/slave mode (see chapter 6.1.1).
4) With the button STAND BY (19), the function
Blackout can be switched on and off. With the
function switched on, the LED next to the button

dem des Mastergeräts.

neuten Gedrückthalten der Taste ist der nächs-
te Stroboskop-Effekt aktiviert.
Modus Sound 2 (LED blinkt langsam)
Die Bewegung des Lichtstrahls sowie der
Wechsel der Farben erfolgen musikgesteuert.
Durch Drücken der Taste FUNCTION (20)
kann zwischen den vier Betriebsarten Show 1
bis Show 4 (siehe Kap. 6.1, Punkt 2) umge-
schaltet werden.
Modus Slow/Sound 3 (LED leuchtet)
Nur die Bewegung des Lichtstrahls erfolgt
musikgesteuert, jedoch langsamer als in den
Modi Sound 1 und Sound 2, der Wechsel der
Farben erfolgt durch die Taste FUNCTION
(20): Mit jedem Tastendruck (ca. 1 Sekunde
gedrückt halten) wird zur nächsten Farbe ge-
wechselt.
Modus Position/Latch (LED blinkt schnell)
In diesem Modus lassen sich mit der Taste
FUNCTION (20) die Position des Schwenk-
kopfes und der Dimmerwert festsetzen. Zu-
erst die Taste so lange gedrückt halten, bis die
gewünschte horizontale Kopfposition erreicht

Mode Sound 1 (LED does not light up)
The movement of the light beam and the
change of the colours are music-controlled. By
keeping the button FUNCTION (20) pressed,
one of the three stroboscopic effects depend-
ing on the sound can be activated:
1. "Colour sync. strobe"; stroboscopic effect
in sync for the master unit and the slave
units in the same colour
2. "Sync. strobe"; stroboscopic effect in sync
for the master unit and the slave units
3. "Two-light strobe"; stroboscopic effect of
the slave units opposite to that of the
master unit
After releasing the button, the corresponding
stroboscopic effect is deactivated again. When
keeping the button pressed again, the next
stroboscopic effect will be activated.
Mode Sound 2 (LED flashing slowly)
The movement of the light beam and the
change of the colours are music-controlled. By
pressing the button FUNCTION (20), it is possi-
ble to switch between the four operating modes
Show 1 to Show 4 (see chapter 6.1, item 2).
Mode Slow/Sound 3 (LED lights up)
Only the movement of the light beam is music-
controlled, however, it is slower than in the
modes Sound 1 and Sound 2. The colours are
changed via the button FUNCTION (20): Each
time the button is pressed (keep it pressed for
approx. 1 second), the next colour will be
selected.
Mode Position/Latch (LED flashing rapidly)
In this mode, the button FUNCTION (20)
allows to define the position of the pan head
and the dimmer value. First keep the button
pressed until the desired horizontal head posi-
tion is reached. Then keep the button pressed
ist. Dann die Taste erneut gedrückt halten, bis
die gewünschte vertikale Kopfposition einge-
stellt ist. Beim dritten Gedrückthalten der Taste
wird der gewünschte Dimmerwert eingestellt.
Die Positionen und Dimmerwerte werden als
erstes für den Master bestimmt. Danach erfol-
gen die Einstellungen für die Slave-Geräte.
6.3 Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät
Zur Bedienung über ein Lichtsteuergerät mit
DMX512-Protokoll (z. B. DMX-1440 oder DMX-120
von „img Stage Line") ist der WASH-250 mit
16 DMX-Kanälen ausgestattet. Stehen am Licht-
steuergerät nicht genügend Kanäle zur Verfügung,
kann er in den 8-Kanal-Modus umgeschaltet wer-
den, in dem Funktionen mehrerer Kanäle zusam-
mengefasst sind (siehe Menüpunkt „16/8-Kanal-
DMX-Modus" in Kap. 6.4). Die Funktionen
und die genauen DMX-Werte können den Tabellen
(Abb. 4 und 5) entnommen werden.
1) Den DMX-Eingang (15) mit dem DMX-Ausgang
des Lichtsteuergerätes verbinden.
Zum Anschluss sollten spezielle Kabel für ho-
hen Datenfluss verwendet werden. Die Verwen-
dung normaler Mikrofonkabel ist nur bei einer Ge-
samtkabellänge bis 100 m zu empfehlen. Die bes-
ten Übertragungsergebnisse werden mit einem
abgeschirmten Mikrofonkabel von 2 x 0,25 mm
oder einem speziellen Datenübertragungskabel
erreicht. Bei Leitungslängen ab 150 m empfiehlt
sich das Zwischenschalten eines DMX-Aufholver-
stärkers (z. B. SR-103DMX von „img Stage Line").
2) Den DMX-Ausgang (14) mit dem DMX-Eingang
des nächsten Lichteffektgerätes verbinden. Des-
sen Ausgang wieder mit dem Eingang des nach-
folgenden Gerätes verbinden usw., bis alle Licht-
effektgeräte in einer Kette angeschlossen sind.
Die DMX-Ausgangsbuchse besitzt eine Ver-
riegelung. Zum Herausziehen des Steckers den
PUSH-Hebel drücken.
3) Den DMX-Ausgang des letzten Lichteffektgerätes
der Kette mit einem 120-Ω-Widerstand (> 0,3 W)
abschließen: An die Pins 2 und 3 eines XLR-Ste-

6.3 Operation via a light control unit
For operation via a light control unit with DMX512
protocol (e. g. DMX-1440 or DMX-120 by „img Stage
Line"), the WASH-250 is equipped with 16 DMX
channels. If there are not sufficient channels avail-
able on the light control unit, it can be switched to
the 8-channel mode where functions of several
channels are summarized (see menu item "16/8-
channel DMX mode" in chapter 6.4). The
functions and the precise DMX values can be found
in the tables (figs. 4 and 5).
1) Connect the DMX input (15) to the DMX output of
the light control unit.
For connection, special cables for high data
flow should be used. The use of standard micro-
phone cables can only be recommended for a
total cable length of up to 100 m. The best trans-
mission results are obtained with a screened
microphone cable of 2 x 0.25 mm
data transmission cable. For cable lengths
exceeding 150 m it is recommended to insert a
DMX level matching amplifier (e. g. SR-103DMX
from "img Stage Line").
2) Connect the DMX output (14) to the DMX input of
the following light effect unit. Connect its output
to the input of the following unit, etc. until all light
effect units have been connected in a chain.
The DMX output jack has a latching. To re-
move the plug, press the PUSH lever.
3) Terminate the DMX output of the last DMX light
effect unit in the chain with a 120 Ω resistor
(> 0.3 W): Solder the resistor to the pins 2 and 3
of an XLR plug and connect the plug to the DMX
output or use a corresponding terminating plug
(e. g. DLT-123 from „img Stage Line").
