Warnings against hazardous operations

The following is prohibited :
Under no circumstances should the tirsafe T3 lifeline be modi-
fied.
Use or installation of the lifeline without prior training.
Installation of the lifeline with components other than those
supplied by Tractel.
Use of the lifeline with fall arrest systems that do not comply

with European requirements.
Use of the lifeline on its own without a fall arrest device.
Use of the lifeline with more than 3 people.
Use of a lifeline that is not tensioned correctly.
Attachment of the lifeline to components whose strength is
less than 30 kN.
Use of lightweight alloy connectors on the wire rope. Fit
Ø10 mm steel wire connectors in accordance with EN 362.
Positioning a lifeline with an angle greater than 15% from hori-
zontal.

equipment described in this manual,
• complies with the requirements of European Directive
89/686/EEC of December 1989,
• is identical to the PPE which was the subject of the EC type-
examination certificate issued by l'Apave SUDEUROPE,
B.P.193, 13322 Marseille cedex 16, and tested in accordance
with standard EN 795 B,
• is subject to the procedure referred to in Art. 11B of Directive
89/686/EEC, under the control of a notified body.

A fall arrest harness (NF EN 361).
