DC connection
9. DC connection
This chapter explains the requirements and process for wiring the DC wiring to the unit.
Read carefully before starting the connection process.
INFO
Consult section "Important safety instructions" and the following instructions before working on the unit.
9.1. Safety instructions for the DC connection
DANGER
Make sure there is no voltage present on the unit before starting the connection.
Do not switch on the power to the unit until you have successfully made the rest of the connections and the unit
is closed.
Use the Personal Protective Equipment specified in section "Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)".
While connecting the inverter, make sure of the proper installation of the cables on the unit´s terminals so that
parts of accessible wires do not remain live.
CAUTION
Ingeteam accepts no liability for any damages caused by an incorrect connection.
INFO
The wiring must be routed inside the unit via a conduit, which is inserted through a coupling in order to
maintain the unit's protection class.
9.2. Wiring requirements for the DC connection
CAUTION
The cabling for the DC connection, besides complying with the sections indicated in this section, must comply
with the current standards of the country where the PV installation is located.
Always use copper wiring.
9.2.1. INGECON SUN 3Play TL
The maximum admissible currents are the following, relative to the type of connection and inverter model:
11TL
37 A
Below we indicate the admitted section limits in the connections. The minimum sections indicated may not be
enough relative to the type of installation, so the installer must size the wiring relative to its needs.
