Possible causes if the heater shuts off after several minutes of operation

Repair procedure
A. Dirty or defective photocell.
1. Disconnect the heater from the electrical power.
2. Loosen the screw locking the panel to the burner.
3. Disassemble the panel from its seat.
4. Remove the photocell and make sure that the glass is not dirty. If dirty, clean it and restart the machine.
5. If the heater still has the same defect, remove the photocell and using an ohmmeter measure the
resistance between the two poles of the photocell. The photocell indeed reads the brightness of the
flame, and if this value exceeds <60 K (limit condition for absence of flame), the heater is tripped and
the machine stops working. In a completely dark environment, or if the photocell is defective, the
instrument returns a resistance value in the range of a few M
B. Cable or photocell connection interrupted.
1. Check all connections of the photocell cable.
2. If all connections are in place, check the integrity of the photocell cable and proceed as in point 4 of the
previous section A, with the cable connected to the photocell.
C. Defective flame control equipment.
1. Disconnect the heater from the electrical power.
2. Loosen the screw locking the panel to the burner.
3. Remove the panel from its seat.
4. Loosen the screw that fastens the flame control equipment and release it from the plastic body.
5. Replace it with new or used equipment, as long as it is functioning.
6. If the heater works correctly, it means the flame control equipment was defective.
D. Dirty photocell.
1. Follow the instructions related to the "Dirty photocell" section.
E. Dirty fuel filter.
