D. Incorrect pump pressure.
1. Loosen the screw fastening the panel to the burner.
2. Remove the panel from its seat.
3. Install the manometer in the pressure plug of the pump (D Fig. 5 or D Fig. 6 Sect. 4). It is
recommended to use a manometer with the scale calibrated between 0 and 20 bar / 290 PSI.
4. Connect the heater to the power plug and try to turn it on.
5. Correct pump pressure according to the nozzle table.
Observed problem: The electrodes make a spark but the motor does not turn
Possible cause
A. Seized fuel pump.
B. Defective motor.
Repair procedure
A. Seized fuel pump.
1. Detach the heater from the power plug.
2. Remove the screw fastening the panel to the burner.
3. Try to turn on the heater and see if the electric motor is blocked.
4. If the shaft is blocked, loosen the three dowels keeping the pump fastened to the motor.
5. If necessary, replace the pump and probably also the pump joint.
B. Defective motor.
1. Disconnect the heater from the electrical power.
2. Remove the screw fastening the flame control equipment.
3. Detach the motor's blue and brown cables connected to the post-ventilation equipment.
4. Connect the ohmmeter lead wires to the blue and brown wires and verify that the motor resistance is
not null. If this were not the case, the motor is defective and must be replaced. Properly adjust the
ohmmeter scale.
Observed problem: The motor starts but the heater does not ignite
Possible cause, if a spark is not observed at the spark plug
A. The electrodes have an incorrect gap.
B. Broken electrodes.
C. Defective or not properly earthed transformer.
Possible cause, if a spark is observed at the spark plug
D. Leak in the pump's suction circuit.
E. Dirty fuel filter.
F. Dirty or damaged nozzle.
G. Incorrect pump pressure.
H. Defective solenoid valve.
