- Do not use straight-sided containers
with narrow necks. Use a wide-
mouthed container.
- After heating, allow the container
to stand in the microwave oven for
a short time before removing the
container.
- Use extreme care when inserting
a spoon or other utensil into the
container.
• Clean ventilation hoods frequently -
grease should not be allowed to
accumulate on hood or filter. See
"cleaning and care" on page 28.
• Use care when cleaning the vent-hood
filter. Corrosive cleaning agents, such as
lye-based oven cleaners, may damage
the filter.
• When flaming foods under the hood,
turn the fan on.
• Do not clean with metal scouring pads.
Pieces off the pad can touch electrical
parts involving risk of electric shock.
• Suitable for use above both gas and
electric cooking equipment.
Save these instructions
  WARNING
If you see arcing, press the "Cancel" button
and correct the problem.
• Oversized food or oversized metal
utensils should not be inserted in a
microwave/toaster oven as they may
create a fire or risk of electric shock.
• Do not clean with metal scouring pads.
Pieces can burn off the pad and touch
electrical parts involving a risk of electric
shock.
• Do not use paper products when
appliance is operated in the toaster
mode.
• Do not store any materials, other
than manuf acturer's recommended
accessories, in this oven when not in
use.
• Do not cover racks or any other part of
the oven with metal foil. This will cause
overheating of the oven.
Arcing
Arcing is the microwave term for sparks in
the oven. Arcing is caused by:
• Metal or foil touching the side of the
oven.
• Foil not molded to food (upturned edges
act like antennas).
• Metal, such as twist-ties, poultry pins, or
gold- rimmed dishes, in the microwave.
• Recycled paper towels containing
small metal pieces being used in the
microwave.
