8.1
Installing the plug nipple (5) (Fig. 1)
1. Remove the plastic protective cap from the air inlet of
the product.
2. Wrap the thread of the plug nipple (5) with Teflon
tape*.
3. Screw the plug nipple (5) into the air inlet. Use a
13 mm open-ended spanner*.
* = may not be included in the scope of delivery!

Installing the protective collar (10)
WARNING
–
Never operate the compressed air eccentric sander
without a protective collar.
–
Never operate the compressed air eccentric sander
with the protective collar upside down.
–
A damaged protective collar must be replaced im-
mediately.
1. Slide the protective collar (10) completely over the
spindle housing.

Installing/removing the sanding
plate (9) (Fig. 1-3)
WARNING
Never operate the compressed air eccentric sander
when the eccentric spindle is fixed. Before each use,
make sure that the eccentric spindle can rotate freely
around its own axis.
1. To fit or replace the sanding plate (9), turn over the
protective collar (10).
2. Turn the spindle lock (7) with the knurled curvature
against the flat side of the eccentric spindle (8). The
eccentric spindle is fixed.
3. Remove the protective cap from the threaded rod of
the sanding plate (9).
4. Hold the spindle housing firmly with one hand and
screw the sanding plate (9) clockwise into the eccen-
tric spindle (8) as far as it will go with the other hand.
ATTENTION
Never operate the compressed air eccentric sander with
the drive spindle locked. This is dangerous and can
lead to serious injuries.
8.4
Select sanding sheet
Abrasion and surface:
The removal rate and surface finish are determined by the
grit rating of the sanding sheet.
• Make sure that you use the appropriate sanding
sheets with different grit rating to process the different
materials.

8.4.1
ATTENTION
Always disconnect the product from the compressed air
source before attaching or detaching the sanding sheet.
1. The sanding plate (9) and the sanding sheets (11) in-
cluded in the scope of delivery are fitted with corre-
sponding hook-and-loop fasteners.
2. Select a sanding sheet (11) with the desired grit and
press it onto the sanding plate (9). Ensure a concen-
tric fit.
3. To change, lift the sanding sheet (11) sideways and
pull it off the sanding plate (9).
4. Clean the sanding plate (9) with compressed air if
necessary.

Before commissioning
ATTENTION
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Operate the product only with cleaned, oil-misted com-
pressed air and do not exceed the maximum working
pressure of 6.3 bar at the product. The compressor must
be equipped with a pressure reducer to regulate the work-
ing pressure.

Connection to a compressed air
source (Fig. 1)
Note:
Before connecting the pressure source
• The correct working pressure (3 - 6 bar) must be fully
built up
• Ensure that the trigger is in its uppermost position
1. Connect the product to a compressor by connecting
the plug nipple (5) to the supply hose of the com-
pressed air source.
10 Operation
10.1
Switching on and off (Fig. 1)
Note:
Always switch the compressed air eccentric sander on
before making contact with the material and then guide
the product to the workpiece.
Switching on
1. First push the trigger lock (2) forwards towards the
sanding plate (9) with your thumb and then push the
trigger lever (3) down to switch the product on.
Switching off
CAUTION
After switching off, the product will run on. Wait until the
product has come to a complete stop.
1. Release the trigger (3).
The trigger (3) returns to the upper position and the
trigger lock (2) engages.
