• If the sanding sheet sander or the polisher is equipped
with a noise suppressor, always ensure that it is in
place and in working order when the machine is in op-
eration.
5.9
Hazards due to vibrations
• The effect of vibrations can cause damage to the
nerves and malfunctions of the blood circulation in
hands and arms.
• Wear warm clothing when working in cold environ-
ments and keep your hands warm and dry.
• If you experience numbness, tingling or pain in your
fingers or hands or if the skin on your fingers or hands
turns white, stop working with the sanding sheet sand-
er or the polisher, inform your employer and consult a
doctor.
• The sanding sheet sander or polisher shall be operat-
ed and maintained in accordance with the recommen-
dations contained in this manual to avoid an unneces-
sary increase in vibrations.
• Hold the machine with a not too firm but secure grip
while maintaining the required hand reaction forces,
as the risk of vibration usually increases with increas-
ing grip force.

Additional safety instructions for
pneumatic products
• Compressed air can cause serious injuries.
– When the machine is not in use and before replac-
ing accessories or carrying out repair work, ensure
that the air supply is shut off, the air hose is not
pressurised and that the machine is disconnected
from the air supply.
– Never direct the airflow towards yourself or to-
wards other people.
• Hoses whipping around can cause serious injuries.
Therefore, always check that the hoses and their fas-
teners are undamaged and have not loosened off.
• If universal swivel couplings (claw couplings) are
used, locking pins must be inserted and Whipcheck
hose locks used to provide protection in the event of a
failure of the connection of the hose to the machine or
of hoses to each other.
• Make sure that the maximum pressure indicated on
the machine is not exceeded.
• Never carry air-operated machines by the hose.

Unpacking
• Open the packaging and carefully remove the product.
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the pack-
aging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the product and accessory parts for transport
damage. Immediately report any damage to the trans-
port company that delivered the Product. Later claims
will not be recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the
warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating manual before using for the first time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Spare parts
can be obtained from your specialist dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number as
well as type and year of manufacture for the product.
