Replacing the absolute filter

When installed, the absolute filter is replaced in the
following way:
– loosen the clamp fixing the filter assembly on the
machine;
– remove suction pipe from the lower spigot;
– loosen the clamp fixing the top cover of the absolute
filter chamber;
– it will now be possible to remove the absolute filter "1"
and to replace it with a new one;
– remount the top cover and fix the clamp;
– fix the suction pipe;
– fix the filter assembly back into position and tighten the
clamp.
The dismounted and replaced absolute filter must be
covered with a nylon bag and disposed of in the
appropriate way.
Replace the primary filter and the absolute filter with
particular care, above all use the P3-type mask.
NOTE
The absolute filter is toxic waste and must
be treated as such. Hand it over to one of the
authorities authorized to dispose of such
materials.
General recommendation.
Please pay special attention to the
grounding connections when
disassembling and assembling the machine,
when replacing filter etc.

Checking the condition of the hoses

To ensure the vacuum operates in the best possible way,
the entire air suction circuit must be perfectly tight.
It is necessary to check the condition of hose "1" that
connects the main filter with the absolute filter chamber.
Check that it is correctly fixed. Check the hose "2"
connecting the absolute filter chamber to the suction
motor, and the hose"3" connecting the suction motor to the
exhaust.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Checking the condition of the
suction fan
Dust deposits could unbalance the fan, creating abnormal
vibrations and quickly wearing the bearings.
Ask for technical assistance from Nilfisk-Advance or one
of the manufacturer's authorized after-sales service centre
in these cases.
Remember to remove the suction unit from the casing, it
will be necessary to proceed with the aid of lifting means
and safe anchoring.
The unit may weigh as much as 50 Kg.
Periodically check to make sure that there are no dust
deposits on the turbine casing "2" when work is carried out
in particularly dusty environments.
If there is dust or oil mist in the environment, make sure
that the cooling holes of cap "1" do not become clogged.
This could prevent the motor from being efficiently cooled
and lead to activation of the thermal protector or, worse
still, cause the motor to actually break down.
