INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Checking for proper connection

Check that all 3 phases are present. If the indicator light
"6" (yellow) is on, the phases are inverted, and need to be
changed according to the procedure stated below.
Proceed in the following way to check the turning direction:
1. If the yellow light "6" is on, when pressing the ON
button "4" the machine does not start.
2. Disconnect the machine from the mains socket and
invert two of the three live wires in the plug or in the
electrical box on the main switch (fig. 3).
3. Close the plug or the electrical box, connect it to the
mains socket and start the machine by pressing the
ON button "4" (fig. 4).

CONTROLS

1. Vacuum gauge to display filter clogging.
Indicates the degree of filter clogging in proportion to
the vacuum expressed in millimetres of water column.
Check when there are no accessories connected to the
machine.
When the indicator points to the red area, the filter
needs to be cleaned; if this is not sufficient, it must be
replaced.
2. Main switch.
Red on a yellow background
0 = Vacuum disconnected from the mains socket
1 = Vacuum electrically powered
3. POWER ON indicator (white light)
4. ON Button (green)
5. OFF Button (red)
6. Phase Indicator (yellow light).

STARTING AND STOPPING

ATTENTION!
Unauthorized personnel are forbidden to
use the vacuum.
The operator must check that all the guards
are mounted and that the safety devices are
installed and efficient.

Starting

Check that the machine has been effectively connected to
the mains socket. In particular, check that the main voltage
and frequency values correspond to those indicated on
the data plate (see fig. 1).
Fit the accessories "1" to the suction inlet.
Place the vacuum near the place of use, then lock the front
wheels by pressing levers downwards.
Set main switch "3" from position "0" (OFF) to position 1
(ON).
The vacuum is now ready for use.
Press the ON button "4" (green) to start the unit.
6

Stopping

Press the OFF button "5" (red) to stop the vacuum.
Turn main switch "3" from position "1" (ON) to position 0
(OFF).
This stops the vacuum for being electrically powered.
NOTE
When the vacuum is not in use, leave main
switch "3" in position 0 (OFF) and the mains
isolator disconnected.

USING THE VACUUM

Correct use of the vacuum

Before using the machine, connect the suction pipe to the
inlet.
Keep long suction pipes as straight as possible.
Do not allow them to bend or twist as this will cause
excessive wear and clogging.
When the vacuum is powered, suction is created at the
pipe inlet and this sucks in the waste material.
This waste material passes through the pipe and
accessories through the inlet "4" until it reaches container
"6", where a deflector "5" in the filtering chamber subjects
it to a centrifugal action causing the heavier solids to
deposit on the bottom of container "6".
The primary filter will retain the lighter particles in the
airflow "3" as the air passes through it.
Lastly, the filtered air enters impeller "1" of the suction unit,
it is then exhausted through exhaust panel "2".
ATTENTION!
If the machine is used for fluids or wet
materials and fluid emerges from it, the
machine must be immediately switched-off,
cleaned and dried and all filters replaced.

Cleaning the primary filter

Vacuum gauge "1" is installed on the front part of the
vacuum (see fig. 4) and indicates the vacuum created
within the vacuum itself. This vacuum is expressed in
millimetres of water column. If the pointer is in the right
(green area), the filter will be in a good condition.
If the pointer swings to the left (red area), this means that
the filter is clogged and has a reduced filtering capacity.
In this case, it will be necessary to clean the primary filter.
Switch off the vacuum by pressing the OFF button "5" (red)
(fig. 4).
Operate the filter shaker handle "2" (fig. 7) several times in
order to detach the dust from the filter.
Wait a few minutes for the dust to deposit at the bottom of
the container, then empty this.
NOTE
If the vacuum gauge "1" (fig. 7) is still in the
red area, the suction pipe, may be clogged,
and not the filter.
Clean the pipe, if this is the case.
